End Gay4Pay

My point is that a job is something that they pay you to do whether it's serve hamburgers for minimum wage or suck a dick for a lot MORE than minimum wage.

Saying "if you don't like having sex with guys, don't do it" can be compared to ""If you don't like serving coffee.. quit working at Starbucks." You still got a job to do.

Ok let's go with that analog then... If the Starbucks' employee did in fact hate making coffee and made sure that the people he was working with knew he didn't like being there and was disgusted by them because they liked coffee, fucked up ever 3rd brewing because he just wasn't into it(you've got to get a few right), quit but came back an hour later and stating "I need the money so I can buy milkshakes cause real men like milkshakes anyway", announced to the people waiting in line to purchase the coffee that making it made him vomit, and generally acted like Starbucks owed him because he was doing something he didn't want to do. How long do you think it would take for them to fire his ass or not hire him back after he walked out?

That is exactly what countless Gay4pay performers have done only to have studios rehire them and sometimes give them exclusive deals or pay them more money to return after the insulted the buyers.

My issues with Gay4pay aren't with straight men having gay sex they are with the promotion of if it as something better than being actually gay and with studios using performers that have made their disgust with gay sex public knowledge. Studios claiming that it is what sells- that isn't true- it sells cause that is what was produced but gay porn fans are more likely to want a scene with 2 gay men or at least 2 men that aren't going to insult them.

I don't understand this anti-gay4pay argument, we're fucking watching porn, anyone attractive that's willing to get on camera and fuck, suck, or whatever should be able to do so, who cares about their sexuality.

Also, this argument is double silly because it's total discrimination/segregation, how ridiculous are you gays?!

Depends... are people still coming back to the store and asking for "that guy" to serve them?

OK, say 10 people ask for "that guy". Do you ignore the 100 that would come back everyday but refuse to come to support Starbucks anymore because of "that guy" in favor of the 10 that like "that guy" but would have gotten coffee anyway? I haven't noticed promotion of Gay4pay at Jake Cruise since I started watching about 2 years ago - Yes there is SG4GE but that is a specific niche and even it still avoids being offensive- my issues are with companies that hire performers that show their disgust and homophobia to the fans. Even if it doesn't hurt their bottom line why would a company that relies on gay men to support its products allow them to be insulted by an easily replaced employee.

@ hackingnomberr: For most of those who have a problem with Gay4pay it isn't about the performers sexuality it is about the way it is elevated in marketting and how straight performers get special perks because of their sexuality. If a straight performer being hired over a gay perfomer strictly because they are straight isn't discrimination then how do you define it?

My head hurts.

My experience is that making a huge deal about straight guys having gay sex is tired and I don't do it. But the majority of people don't care what the guys say off camera to bloggers, they just want to see hot men having sex... orientation and private life don't come into it for the majority of consumers.

Wow, the Starbucks talk is making me want a pumpkin spice latte.

Besides being on video, a lot of gay guys wouldn't really need to get paid much to do porn.
But the straight guys are doing something that they have no enjoyment in whatsoever and even appalls them if they really are straight. Besides, gay4pay is clearly what the audience wants which is why the straight guys are getting paid more.

That is faulty logic but is the the logic that is used to justify paying staight men more. Do you think just because a man is gay he is ready and willing to fuck or be fucked by every other man? If you are a gay man who is attracted to men and enjoys having sex with them then it would be MORE difficult to have sex with someone you aren't attracted to at all because you would know how much better it could be. By their admission Gay4payers are thinking of it as a job and don't expect to enjoy it so they have already put that aside.

@ Jasun: "My experience is that making a huge deal about straight guys having gay sex is tired and I don't do it. " Why do we keep coming back to that. It isn't about straight men having gay sex. As I have said, it is about gay porn companies promoting straight as the ideal and then they keep hiring performers that very publically insult the people the are supposed to be entertaining. Then they try and justify it by saying it is what the fans want like they are still making porn from the 90's - That's what is tired.

Haha, no I don't expect gay guys to just want to fuck any other man, but unlike a straight man we're not disgusted by the thought. Any gay4payer that isn't grossed out by gay sex isn't really straight. And it definitely wouldn't be more difficult for a gay guy to fuck a guy for money than a straight guy, that's a completely silly statement.

So given that, why are you in favor of people dong things they are "grossed out by" for money? Keep in mind, it's not like fear factor where they eat bugs for money, this them having sex with someone else and having it put on video never to be forgotten. It turns you on to see some 18 year old do something he might come to really regret in the next 10 years or so?

Exactly how are we supposed to know why the guy(s) in gay porn doing what they are doing? No one knows why a certain person decides to do porn unless the person themselves divulges that info. We all make choices on how to make a living or supplement our incomes. a lot of people think it's better then being out there committing crimes, since they are making an honest living and not hurting anyone. I'm sure there are a lot of people who get off thinking of these gay4pay guys doing things they wouldn't normally do for money. It's a sense of power thing, watching someone who is str8 that probably thinks they are better then gay men or more of a real man bending over and taking it up the ass for money, degrading themselves for a living.

As far as regrets go we all have those, stayed at jobs we didn't like to make money, putting up with bullshit and harassment to continue to support ourselves. These guys are just doing it in a different way. I also think it has to do with feeling desired and feeling "Special" and somehow elite and better then most people. Gay community celebrates guys that do porn and they are held up to be some kind of "Idols" to be worshiped guys love that shit and in the str8 community doesn't do that for their male models. Fast cash + Adoration+ Fans buying you shit+Company owners flying you all over the country + Clients flying you all over the world makes being in porn very appealing. Thoughts of regrets don't factor in when their doing any of these things the same way any of us don't think of having regrets when we are going about our day.

Allicide said most people who are against gay4pay that it isn't about their sexuality when that is exactly what it is about. Most people against gay4pay they do not think the men are str8, anytime a man has any kind of sexual contact with another man he's gay. Hell, if a guy does a solo for a gay website then the guy must be gay because he's making a video for a gay men to watch. Somehow, by making these guys gay in their mind it somehow validates their own sexuality. The whole point in making the Arpad scene was that a gay man could have sex with a woman and yet no one considers him str8, yet a guy get's blown by another guy and he's automatically gay. The bottom line is that trying to put a label on someone you do not know personally based on what they do for money on camera is a waste of brain space and no one can do it. It shouldn't matter unless they are impacting your life in an significant way. If porn has that much impact on you then you may have bigger issues then the str8 guys doing gay porn.

If you over analyze porn then you shouldn't be watching it. We all watch porn to get our rocks off.

I go to a few sites that advertise straight men fucking, sucking, jerking off etc, and I can really care less if they are really straight or not. Im just there to watch 2 or more guys fuck...plain and simple.

There are more important things to worry/argue about than straight men doing gay porn.

gay for pay is ultimately insulting-the idea that one should onlyhave have gay sex if paid lots of money, or else no guy would. What baloney! gay sex in and of itself ius it's own reward). Good gay sex is hot, noble, sacred, and does not need coercing. I know, this is porn we're talking about, but the principle still stands-male love is good. And needs no forcing or excuse, paid or unpaid. We would never have this conversation about straight sex.

Hey guys, they're selling a fantasy - and in reality, anyone who gets naked, gets hard and gets off with another guy is at least bi, from a behavioral viewpoint. I remember a live chat at some site, where the model claimed he'd never touched a guy. But at another site, there he was, suckin' dick.

Why would you believe a porn actor's claim that he's straight anyway? They're lives are often unstable.
