Epstein, Epstein, Epstein . . . but don't give up

Thanks for adding the info.
It seemed too absurd to be true, but is circulating heavily right now again.

By the way, to your point of the post above that...he learned from a master of this.

And Cohn learned it from nations that used this as well.

A naked threat from a panicking Trump. Help me keep these hidden or else.

And it gets wilder every day. Nutcase grifters smell blood.

And we have today's diversion attempt- "just investigate my enemies" and "It's a hoax but let's spend more money investigating it".

It just gets more Orwellian every day.

President Donald Trump said Friday he will ask Attorney General Pam Bondi to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s ties to many other high-profile figures, including some of his perceived political opponents, again blasting Democrats following the release earlier this week of emails from the late Epstein that mention him.

“Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

We all know from leaks that a lot more than sex trafficking is in the files.

Some of the things mentioned below may or may not be accurate, but Epstein was very, very powerful.

Powerful enough to have been murdered to keep him quiet.

BTW. I think it was someone else who paid off Kavenaugh's debts.

So Johnson knows that the House is going to vote to release the files.

And that he is potentially facing a lot of defections on this issue in a free vote by members who have nothing to fear from TrumpCo. or him if what is in those files brings down
Trump.

What devices are left to either stall or prevent release? Anyone? Can the Senate prevent them from being released to the House? Can they redact them so completely that they are irelevant and so the GQP can just shove this behind them?

I see the strategy at this point to get them released in the new year and then to play procedural games until after the mid-terms ( if the US has them) and to run out the clock on this until everyone is so exhausted that they all have to focus on real issues until 2028.

Unless I'm not understanding what is going on, the discharge petition sets up a bill that has to pass under normal order. Once the House passes it on Tuesday, it will go to the Senate for debate and it will require 60 votes to end debate before it can be voted upon. And then it goes to the President for signature.

Trump will do everything possible so that he doesn't have to veto the bill that MAGA wants to see him sign, which points to blocking it in the Senate.

So the Bill will effectively die which is the strategy of the GQP members of Congress. They can virtue signal, comfortable knowing that the Senate will shleve the Bill.

And at the end of the day, Trump will veto it and there will not be the votes to overturn it.

It seems like a long, loud walk to take for this.

Meanwhile, all those who do have the information sit on it for their own books, or to blackmail or to protect temselves and their powerful owners.

What a sordid waste of time.

And of course, the Bureau of Prisons fired several people who worked at Club Ghislaine.

Ghislaine Maxwell’s Prison Fires Four People After Whistleblower Leak
A whistleblower told House Democrats about Maxwell’s cushy new setup.

Several prison employees at the facility holding Ghislaine Maxwell have been fired since internal whistleblowers revealed the extent of the child sex criminal’s cozy digs.

News of their termination came by way of Maxwell’s attorney, who on Friday cited the recent release of Maxwell’s emails by Representative Jamie Raskin earlier this week as the rationale for the prison staffers’ sudden firing.

“The release to the media by Congressman Raskin, of Ms. Maxwell’s privileged client-attorney email correspondence with me is as improper as it is a denial of justice,” Leah Saffian, a California-based attorney who has long represented Maxwell, said in a statement.

Yes, that seems likely, although, consider this:

Trump is definitely weakened by the fury of his reaction to the vote. Nothing smells as guilty to conspiracy theorists as suppression, and without the conspiracy theorists, MAGA doesn't exist.

The schism between Greene and Trump is damaging internally to MAGA. Whether it's puppet theater to get her re-elected, or real, it's a shitshow. That can only help GOP rivals and those making post-Trump plans.

The vote in the Senate will help in the mid-terms. It will make it easier to peel away support for GOP senators who vote to suppress, as it is bound to hurt GOP turnout among the conspiracy theorists. At this point, the GOP is hanging on by a thread, so they can't afford to lose anyone.

All that said, the GOP is on the back foot in all scenarios, even with the gerrymandering. The bad economy isn't going away, and $2,000 bribes to voters isn't going to pay for the insurance premiums, lost jobs, and inflation. The killer in 2024 wasn't the media, but the DNC floundering in the worst possible way. First, the kingmakers didn't talk Biden out of running. Second, after waiting too late, they ran Harris who didn't even win in her own primary races when on a ticket. Add to that the shit messaging and Trump won.

It SHOULD be the DNC's election to lose this time, and if they didn't learn the lessons of 2024, then they deserve to lose and we will have to burn it all.
