I'd love it if Conchita won. Not keen on the actual song but a bearded lady! That's got to be worth voting for.

Apparently many people shared your thoughts. It was not the best song IMO.
But to support his performance on a Eurovision Song Contest because of the gay/drag factor, that is just preaching to the choir.

It was a totally crap compilation this year. Most of it was the usual scream & firework.
Holland had a nice song. If it had been sung by a famous country singer then it would become a US top 10 hit.
Most of the other songs would sound awful on the radio, without the spectacle and the tension of the moment.

The winning song has grown on me after hearing it three times now but I think my favourites were Poland and Hungary.

You really intrigue me, I have never actually heard anyone openly state they like the terrible shows you list as your favorite. It is all very odd as you joke about someone (unloadoneme) as being a benefit loving "chav", when I have always seen him as a middle class UKIP supporter. All very odd and fascinating...

Actually it's West vs. Eastern Europe.
A seperation is long overdue, there really is no point in going on like this anymore.
I don't even know most of those countries. Moldavia, yes, from DYNASTY.
But Montenegro or San Marino? Sounds more like beach-y places in South America.

Looking forward to the 2015 ESC in Austria! Jan Ola Sand just announced that he will invite the city of Vienna shortly to host the 60th Eurovision Song Contest. So I guess it will be Vienna 2015.

Welcome to our beautiful country and hopefully a lot more tolerant nation after a gay man, dressed as a bearded lady got so much love and respect from all across Europe and won the ESC for Austria for the first time in more than 48 years!
