Explosions, shootings reported in central Paris

I found this on the net someone wrote. I like it.

Isis terrorists stopped a car of a christian couple and asked, are you Muslims?

Christian man answered, Yes, I'm a Muslim.

terrorist: if you are a muslim, then recite a verse of Quran?

christian man recited a verse from the bible.

terrorist: alright you can go now.

wife: i cannot believe you risk our life like that! why did u tell them that we are muslims? if he knew we were lying he would have killed both of us.

husband: do not worry! if they knew the Quran they would not kill people.

Morally, Terrorism has no Religion.

Quran says: if you killed 1 person, you have killed whole humanity, and if you saved 1 person, you have saved whole humanity

Humanity over religion = love

I see that the usual suspects are spewing their usual nonsense.

North Africans, more like. But we'll just have to wait and see.

Well, the first one to be identified was home-grown. Of Arab origins, yes, but born, bred, schooled and formed in the middle of France, and his cronies in my native Belgium were also born in and around Brussels.

There have been far more European terrorists striking in the Middle East (like a Flemish muzzie blowing himself up in Baghdad yesterday) than vice versa. Picture this!

Gentlemen, come now, you can walk into ANY mosque anywhere and find plenty of Western hate literature, all fully funded by the Saudis. Surely you must have known that, it is common knowedge. Please see the link above. Now I know it's a little old, but I don't think the spread of Islam has slowed down in the last decade. Don't believe me? Please go see one yourself as I have. I've about 10 mosques within a mile of me.

How many mosques have you attended?

I attended the mosque here in Albuquerque over a year ago and I found no such literature, heard no such message from the imam, and found no hate speech.

Reading hate on the internet and selectively chosen data does not make your assertion true about all Muslims.

Likewise, a political hatred of Israel is not the equal of terrorism. It is an opposition to an occupying power, according to the United Nations. To see it that way does not equal the intent to kill and destroy Israelis.

I honestly this thread would get split between the reports of Paris/condolences and the arguments/xenophobia/islamphobia.

How well do you think you will hold up when you and your neighbours have to start mixing/conflicting with Syrian refugees?

This is just a tiny thread on an insignificant website – where you can easily just walk/look away.

Here. It's yours. You need to buy a clue.

The quotes were not attributed to you. They were types of propaganda that you had used when you purported to speak for what Muslims "largely" believe or for what they allegedly give "lip service" to when they speak about terrorist acts.

Your portrayal of their attitudes and motives is entirely alleged with literally no support. You are merely painting them as villains. It is the equal of "you're a whore because we all KNOW you're a whore!" Convenient logic that.

And you have repeatedly misstated the history of Medina without correctly attesting that Mohammed allowed Christians and Jews to live there.

False again, you put it in quotes and then accused me of "such evil".

Well we will see, won't we. Syrians will be just the latest in a long line of refugees that Canada takes in from the broken parts of the world. We actually have been trying to see if we can help shelter any until they are able to get established here. It seems to be a much better reaction than barricading our home.

What you are missing is that Islam has relied upon killing from day one. Mohammud led armies to force conversions and slaughtered 600 Jews of Medina. Armies spred out and forced the middle east to convert or die. Even today, a majority of muslims say the a muslim who converts should be executed. We need for them to know that these killings prove the evil of their religion. By faling to make the connection, we enable their leaders and members to pretend that it has nothing to do with their religion.

What other connexions would you have us make? For example -- and it's merely one from the thousands and tens of thousands which could be chosen:

Our men spared no-one, irrespective of rank, sex, or age, and put to the sword almost twenty-thousand people. After this great slaughter, the whole city was sacked and burnt.

The writer was Arnauld, Abbot of Citeaux, and the Papal Legate, and was addressed to the Pope. It was written just after 12 July, 1209, the date of the massacre being reported. The city in question was Beziers, in southern France.

No-one was spared, not a man, not a woman, not a child ... and not even the priests. The Cathedral of St Nazaire was burnt, taking with it the people who had taken refuge therein.

When asked by the leaders of the Catholic army whether they should spare the Catholic residents, and how they could tell them apart from the heretic residents of the city, Arnauld famously replied: Caedite eos. Novit enim Dominus qui sunt eius. Kill them all. God will recognise his own.

The difference is that the Muslims are still killing people because the are not muslim. In many countries a large majority believe that muslims who convert away should be killed. My post was in dispute of those who say Islam is a religion of peace. It has never been and it does not become good by pointing to the Christian past. The Christian past is irrelevant to the question of the goodness of Islam. Or perhaps you are saying that it is OK for muslims to kill non-muslims because Christians used to do it?

" that Mohammed allowed Christians and Jews to live there." Who the hell was Mohammed or any one else have the "right to ALLOW Christians and Jews to live" anywhere they wanted too. Mohammed allow them to be less than muslims, tolerated their existence (Pull up with their existence). I am sorry, but toleration is not enough.

Equality of existence is not negotiable!!!!! NEVER NEGOTIABLE.

Are your trying to be dense? Toleration then and equal rights now are not even in the same setting or social perspective. Hundreds of years have passed.

Rulers in the seventh century DID decide who could live how.

That was several centuries before the Doge of Venice decided to "allow" Jews to live in the first ghetto.

You're interpreting distant history by modern values.

Colonial governors outlawed this or that religion right and left in early America. No use in getting sanctimonious about Mohammed's rule.

The post about Medina was a direct counter to Benvolio's false assertion that Islam from the beginning simply slaughtered other religions before it. There were cases, but there were likewise cases when Christianity and Hinduism also slaughtered. Islam has no lock on a bloody past.

The difference is that the Muslims are still killing people because the are not muslim.

You missed the point entirely, which is not surprising. Do you really live under a rock?

If you look around, you can still find reports of Christians doing it or advocating doing it or reducing non-Christians (as they define them) to second or third class citizenship. Or if it makes you too squeamish to contemplate Christians doing this, you can find reports of Hindus doing it. Or Buddhists. Or take your pick.

But you won't do that, because it would require some thought, and it might tend to disrupt your arrogant, racist, and erroneous belief that it is only Muslims who do this and who propagandise to do this. It isn't something that's confined only to those darker, lesser races.

Not unknown at all....but the reactionary right have short memories.....

1. The Army of God

A network of violent Christianists that has been active since the early 1980s, the Army of God openly promotes killing abortion providers—and the long list of terrorists who have been active in that organization has included Paul Jennings Hill (who was executed by lethal injection in 2003 for the 1994 killings of abortion doctor John Britton and his bodyguard James Barrett), John C. Salvi (who killed two receptionists when he attacked a Planned Parenthood clinic in Brookline, Massachusetts in 1994) and Eric Rudolph, who is serving life in prison for his role in the Olympic Park bombing in Atlanta in 1996 and other terrorist acts. Rudolph, in fact, has often been exalted as a Christian hero on the Army of God’s website, as have fellow Army of God members such as Scott Roeder (who is serving life without parole for murdering Wichita, Kansas-based abortion doctor George Tiller in 2009), Shelley Shannon (who attempted to kill Tiller in 2003) and Michael Frederick Griffin (who is serving a life sentence for the 1993 killing of Dr. David Gunn, an OB-GYN, in Pensacola, Florida).

Although primarily an anti-abortion organization, the Army of God also has a history of promoting violence against gays. And one of the terrorist acts that Rudolph confessed to was bombing a lesbian bar in Atlanta in 1997.

Just last week, the FBI disrupted a plot by right wing christian racists to mass murder blacks in order to start a race war.

Why do Germany allow these Islamists to do this and not charging them ?
Seems too soft and too politically correct towards the islamists, Quote:

"Hans-Georg Maassen, said that "we observe that Islamists are specifically approaching refugees in the reception centres. We already know of more than 100 cases".

Can't you see the difference? The Christians who do this act against the tenets of their religion, bad christians. The muslims are acting as instructed by mohammed, good muslims.

No one in this thread has ever written this, nor implied this.

Even the moderate muslims I know are terrified of the radical ones and of what is happening.
