Hey guys i have this friend who, without his glasses, is completely blind. So we go to the same gym and he wears his glasses when he showers because without them he says he cant check out the hot guys in the shower.

I was just wondering, is it ok to wear glasses in the shower?

If you saw someone wearing glasses in the shower would it freak you out or make you realise his reason for wearing them?

Or you wouldnt think twice about it?

Because really there is no reason for someone to wear glasses in the shower if the person really just wants to shower, so...

What do you think about eye glasses in the showers?

Tacky. Tacky tacky tacky tacky. This is why God gave us contact lenses. Might as well just bring in a folding chair and a pair of field glasses. Nobody, no matter how blind, has a legitimate reason to shower with his glasses on.

I wouldn't be creeped out by it, though. I probably wouldn't even notice. Because I wouldn't have my glasses on, and unless he was in the same stall as I (or anywhere else within five feet), his secret would be quite safe from me.

How the hell does that even work? I wear glasses and I know they would get so wet that my vision would be just as impaired as not wearing them at all. If it's that important then get contacts!

Well i try it to tell him it doesnt look right and kind of makes him obvious but he says he cant afford to give up all that eye candy lol. He tried contacts but he says its hell trying to get them in so its glasses for now lol.

I did that when I was younger. I also did it when I was but a wee lad going with my dad to Japan's hot baths. Too much steam, couldn't see anything :/

Now I accept my near-blindness and what I'm missing.

lol

always that one guy with stubble, a HUGE belly, and balls down to his knees that just wanders aimlessly about the shower area.

this guy in glasses is him at an earlier junction in life ;)

I understand where your friend is coming from I was that blind once. I recommend Lasik surgery to all of you that have suffered with poor eye sight. I couldn't even roll over and read the alarm clock. So aside from the eye candy it would be necessary for me to wear the glasses in the shower just so I would be using the shampoo first and the conditioner second. Seriously I couldn't see a foot in front of me.

haha

you did not

how can yu see through wet glasses

it sounds silly

Honestly, if I saw a guy with glasses on in a public shower, I wouldn't think twice about it. You still have to walk to and from the shower, and if your vision is really bad, that would cause a lot of trouble without glasses.

And no, this doesn't apply to me... I don't have glasses... as of yet... *knock wood*

I did. That's exactly why it failed. My glasses would steam up or be completely distorted with water droplets.

Well how else are we expected to see them then? If we get passes without our glasses, then how will we know? People will think we're snubbing them.

Actually, I think I could get along fine with my perscription goggles...;)

HEY!

Look at it this way.........What if a guy canNOT see 3 feet in front of himself and canNOT see where he is going without his glasses???

"SEE"? What I mean?

So, sure ALL of us do check each other out, either at the urinals or in the public showers; but also, we have to be able to see how to get to the showers and back to where our clothes are and dry off as well!!!!!

Agreed? (*8*) (*8*)

I wouldn't be surprised to see him walking to/from the shower with his glasses on and then taking them off while he showers.

But if he was wearing them while he showered... it would be a little odd. I switched to contacts some years back and I used to do what I suggested above.

Perhaps if the eye candy factor is important, he could just dry himself v-e-r-y sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooowly with his glasses on? Otherwise I would think it rather obvious. Having said that, so many people have peculiar shower routines here in .za, he may well get away with it unscathed.

^good point. I have seen people in the shower with their glasses on

silly silly silly

wear the glasses to the shower, take them off while you shower, then put them back on to walk out of the shower... you don't need glasses on to wash yourself...

as for the eye candy factor... dude your in a locker room! naked men all over the place-- dry slowly, hang out at the locker talking, there are ways to get the eye candy, because I honestly would crack up laughing if I saw someone in the shower with glasses on!
