I'm not sure it is as much a fear about accusations of bias as it is about the Zuck from planet Glork's dinner with Trump, where they made a pact that would protect FB's control without an anti-trust challenge.

Yep, they don't even try to pretend anymore. I've changed all my previous posts to "only me" and will keep it that way in the future. I will only use it as an extra photo album in the cloud for me and my husband. To outsiders it will look like just another sleeping profile, one of a billion on FB nowadays. They have really destroyed their brand.
 
I was allowed back on FB Aug 20 and started using it over the past few days, but holy shit, their new version is not exactly an improvement. A lot of helpful functions are gone, and many more have become hard to find.
 
Since acquiring Instagram, they're making it just as unusable as Facebook is.
 
^ I quite like Insta, but I see that the crazies are invading it from their FB strongholds. Hard to keep them away indefinitely I suppose.
 
It gets better! I wanted to wish someone a belated happy birthday with a link to a Youtube video of Yoko One screeching over a John Lennon concert. An inside joke between buds. FB deemed my post "spam". That's a new one, haven't had that before.

Crazy just got crazier.
 
I posted this meme on my timeline and on several groups that have thousands upon thousands of members and it now appears that they have stopped stalking my account with the algorithm - which is surprising I thought I would get a perm ban...

I've had enough social media for awhile. I've logged out and removed Facebook and Instagram apps from my phone. Never had twitter. Maybe I'll come back after the election.

My whole page changed and I don't even know how to use it anymore or find anything so I just pretty much stopped.

I am not really upset about it though - I associate FB with trump now and that is a complete negative image for me - hence my lack of interest. I still have never viewed fox news even once - the clips I have seen elsewhere and knowing who and what they are has kept me from ever tuning in. I now see FB in the same light.

I have never been to twitter on purpose or signed up. I see it as trumps tool - I will never use it.

Dear God,

FascistBook continues to spam me with pages 'suggested for me' that are clearly based on some algorithm that thinks I will like every page with cats, rugby players, asian street food and travelling to Europe.

Meanwhile, I am seeing that a number of guys are pissed that FB is being ridiculously reactionary about pics.....I won't even chance it on some pages any more.
 
I had my long time account scheduled for deletion. I don't know if its a bot or someone is going though my very old posts from 2016-2017 and is reporting them. I shared a picture back in 2018 of a guy and his car keys and he had a bulge and fb put me in jail i fought it and then everything is okay. Then a month later they found another old post and put me in fb jail again so i scheduled my account to be deleted and i made a new account just with a few friends and co workers.


I see why a lot of people stopped using facebook completely or just have a page and no activity.
 
^ I was once banned for a month for a pic that I had posted just to remember it, but the status was "only me". It was from a newspaper article but somehow against some FB rule. I thought "only me" meant no-one else was going to see it, but apparently some busybody inside FB HQ did.

Anyway, I'm done. I don't look at it anymore.
 
Yup! I’ve had two bans recently over posts made this Spring & Summer over things I shared from other pages about lysol, clorox, injections/ingesting them, Trumptinis, etc.
 
I saw a meme on Facebook today that said that even during a suspension you can post on facebook if you connect through your instagram - I have no idea if it is true....
 
I had one account that got locked. Nothing was really lost, since there were no pictures on the account, and I'd already exported any chat conversations and deleted them from Facebook.

Facebook has bots that will scan your posts its crazy. I am surprised nobody haven't created a new social media page to take over facebook.

I'm sure it isn't true.

Facebook owns Insta and I guess they are not sure of which Insta accounts and which FB accounts belong to the same people. So it is in their interest to make people connect the two. Just my two cents. Maybe someone else has tried it?
