Family Guy: "Oh my God. They killed _______" (Spoiler inside)

Oh! Sorry I've only seen the previews of Elementary. Still, Brian has been the longest-running major TV character in recovery.

I liked Brian.

He was cocksure and level-headed and the fact that he was so 'vertically-challenged' made him remind me of ex-JUBber Jasun.

:-)

This is the uncut version of the intermezzo—

Too bad it won't be permanent, I stopped enjoying the Brian character years ago due to his overzealous political preaching and general douchebag attitude.

He could be insufferable in recent years when it came to that. But when it came to normal every day interactions with the rest the family, especially Stewie, he was just fine.

Quagmire was another character that's changed for the worse in recent years. He used to be a cheerful, funny, occasionally creepy guy who slept with every woman in town. Now he's just a bitter character who's always angry and yelling about something in every single episode. I wouldn't be surprised if its eventually revealed that he was the one who ran Brian over.

I still watch Family Guy but the quality really has dropped the last few years. Seth McFarland sacrificed a lot of comedy in order to get overly preachy (much like Brian) by making too many serious themed and dark episodes and they just never worked.

McFarland's other show, American Dad, is still great though. Still consistently funny.

Maybe Peter and Death will time travel, like in this episode, and bring Brian back. Maybe
From another episode

A few people on YouTube brought up an excellent plot point that will most likely bring Brian back very soon. Earlier in the episode before he destroys the time machine, Stewie goes into the future to the Christmas season so he can be the first one in line for the best toy sales at the mall.

That means all Stewie has to do now is wait until Christmas, which is just a few weeks away, and then go back to the mall and wait for the Stewie from the past to show up. Current Stewie warns past Stewie about the car that will run Brian over. Past Stewie then travels back in time and makes sure he and Brian don't play hockey in the street. Therefore, Brian never dies and all is restored in the Family Guy universe.

This whole Brian dying thing was all a publicity stunt by the Family Guy crew and the majority of the viewers completely fell for it with their outrage and online petitions. Brian will stay dead for another episode or two but he'll be back at Christmas. I have no doubt about that.

I still never understood why they gave Cleveland his own show. They could have given it to Quagmire or even Joe would have been a better choice.

I think a show like Family Guy can last a lot longer. I don't think they plan on canceling it anytime soon. South Park and Simpsons have also been going on for a long time but I think Simpsons has really gone downhill.

I kind of like the Cleveland Show. It shouldn't get all the hate it does. Yes it's not a good as Family Guy and American Dad but it's not horrible.

The comments on Facebook about Brian's return are priceless. All the back-slapping and the "we did it, we made them bring him back" are hysterical.

I still can't believe people actually thought Brain would stay dead.

Vinny is awesome hehe, I wouldn't mind if he stuck around for a while. He quickly became my favourite character.

Also, the people who actually thought they single handedly brought back Brian by complaining about it on Facebook... don't these people realize just how long it takes to create even a single episode, and how long it takes to plan it all out?
Oh I forgot who most of Family Guy's fans are; 13 year old kids who don't know their asses from a hole in the ground.

Maybe they're being sarcastic? At least I hope so because nobody should be that stupid. Episodes are written a year in advance. They're recorded, animated and produced 8 months before they air on TV. These people did nothing but get outraged over an obvious publicity stunt.
