Fat shaming cards

Unfortunately, "The Learning Channel" turned into little more than a P. T. Barnum freakshow long ago.

And the Daily Mail has always earned its reputation.

Even with those monstrosities, it still evokes sadness that a human condition can get so, but no more than when one meets a sex addict or doper. Excess is excess.

The messenger can perform an important role inspiring those, who need to be inspired by images of their future...should they fail to learn from the excesses of others.

As others here have noted there should be a constructive approach, when confronting the self destructive person.

The problem with a lot of people nowadays is they can't mind their own business nor can they act like respectful human beings. I'm surprised someone didn't kick the shit out of the person who was handing the cards out.

I imagine the probability of run-of-the-mill fat people becoming behemoths is incredibly low. The TV shows just use supposed legitimate curiosity to simply scare people with human monsters. And I find that sad.

Wait, it's against the COC to call someone ugly?! Jesus, I really hope JUB hasn't become that much of a hugbox.

Not a problem. Bitch fights are still totally allowed as long as carefully treading the line, plus the mods are almost never in. Flame away. Get it all out of your system.

These attacks are happening in the subway. How hard can it be to stumble and "accidentally" knock the bastard into the path of the oncoming train? Fat people are always tripping and rolling. Totes likely. Hell, they can't even see their feet. The lawyer won't have any problem pleading the Gilbert Grape defense.

The foot that is watched shall slip.

What's sad is that a lot of people do "fat shame" and it happens a lot in our own community. I have had friends who have out and out been told they were "too fat" to be considered. Just sick, you know?

Has anyone here fat-shamed someone or have you ever been fat-shamed? Here is a story about a guy who was fat shamed at his gym by a guy.

One of the links I read, the authority supposedly was investigating. What is there to investigate? Is it illegal to be mean to others?

I have a relative (not by blood, thank god) who has always has a gut on him. Since retirement I have gained weight and we were to meet with this guy and his wife for lunch.
I knew that he would make a scene out of my weight gain, he is a loud mouth, just as suspected he would do, as soon as he saw me his mouth disengaged from his brain and out came the fat insults.

I had prepared myself by planning on pointing at his gut and asking what his excuse was, I guess I was wound a little tight, instead of just pointing at his stomach, I smacked it with the back of my hand and asked him what the hell his excuse was.
He backed off immediately.

I love this story! I bet he backed off fast. And talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

It seems like weight is one of the last areas that people think it is "OK" talk crap about. I am a little sensitive to this because I have an overweight family member who is constantly harassed by people, including family members.

It might classify as hate speech in the UK or Canada. The U.S. would require something more directly threatening or implying bodily harm.

"You have no right to live."

"You're taking up air that decent people deserve to have."

"You're so fat, you should be locked in a room to live off it for a few months."

That sort of thing.
