i'm CONSTANTLY singing Goonies R Good Enough to myself. sometimes have to catch myself from just belting it out in public...i LOVE that song!!! Time After Time though i think is the song that makes you realize...that girl can SANG!!!

I was listening to her greatest hits cd 'Twelve Deadly Cyns...And Then Some' earlier this evening as I cleaned the house. Her take on Juice Newtons hit I'm Gonna Be Strong is amazing. An incredible voice, with amazing breath control.

Love her. Who else could have done "Time After Time" and the theme song to Pee-Wee's Playhouse?

Did anyone see the "Girls and Guitars" special Lifetime did several years ago? It was Cyndi Lauper, Ann and Nancy Wilson, Sheryl Crowe, Wynonna, Melissa Etheridge and Amy Grant (who held her won much more than I thought she would). Cyndi and Ann Wilson had a couple of amazing duets.

FYI, I have met her twice at fundraisers. (just a handshake type of meeting). She is humble and gracious and of course her dedication to the gay community is admirable.

I must say I think she sings much better in person than on her albums. I have been consistently disappointed by her recent recorded music. She has a great talent, but a few of her albums including the standards one are just not pleasant to listen to (imho).

I love, love, love Cyndi Lauper. She's amazing live and such a sweet woman. I last saw her when she closed the Gay Games ceremony in 2006. My favourite album of hers is 'Sisters Of Avalon'. She's releasing a new one this year which I'm really looking forward to.

She's an incredible singer and performer. I saw her in concert opening for Cher's Farewell tour in FT Lauderdale. I also got to meet and get an autograph from her. Very nice, down to earth person. She performed an acoustic concert at her autograph session and her young son was with her playing the drums. Talent runs in the family.
I love Time after Time and Shine.
