Favorite Gay Movie?

My favorite will always be Parting Glances. I'm very fond of Gods & Monsters, as well as Urbania.

I thought Latter Days was an awful melodrama, but with a very good looking star.

I think I'd like to see THE BOYS IN THE BAND again to give a fair assessment of it. It's been decades since I saw it, but I'm pretty sure it's my favorite of all time, edging out MIDNIGHT COWBOY.

Meanwhile I've been trying to remember what movie I also saw Way-Back-When, which included a gay bar scene in New York City. The guy's mother (who came all the way to NYC from Nebraska) was trying to track down her son, who was sowing his wild oats, and she somehow tracked him down not only to New York, but to the gay bar. She went in and confronted him in front of everybody - not at all a pleasant scene, and VERY cringe-worthy. Does anybody remember which movie that was?

I don't think it was a scene from Midnight Cowboy nor The Gay Deceivers, and it certainly wasn't The Boys In The Band, but whatever other gay movie I saw back then escapes me.

Beautiful Thing or Latter Days for the drama queens

Mysterious Skin or Sugar (Cliff & Butch) to fill that need to be disturbed.

Here are my top five lgbt films (from fifth to first):

5: Lost and Delirious (yes its a lesbian film...but its so sad and beautiful... plus its filmed near where i'm from :-D)
4: Is It Just Me (A recent release, but I saw it at the LGBT film festival in Toronto. A great one!)
3: A Single Man (Watched on an airplane back from England.. was captured by the story)
2: Shelter (Yeah, I'm a sap for the corny feel good movies...but ONLY if they have a gay theme to them...I'm biased against hetero movies, what can I say XD)
1: Brokeback Mountain (The most amazing intense movie ever. I know not everyone's a fan of it...but I couldn't live without it, hehe.)

Well you get what you asked for, forget what Hollywood might do, I turned to Pantheonmen for "Bear Oasis" which is what it claims to be, oveer two hours of sweaty bear sex. I love bears, especially when they are fucking with abandon.

Shep+

My vote is for BEAR OASIS

I watched Adam & Steve tonight at the suggestion of a JUBBER, it was great. Very funny, quick witted lines, great cast. It's now added to my I Must Own list.
I hated Adam and Steve. That's the one where Chris Kattan was straight, right

The only gay-themed movie I have happens to be Were The World Mine. I watched it 4 times in a row the first night I got it because it was such a lonely night. It's a fabulous movie. I actually think I'm going to watch it again tonight. I look forward to getting some more movies from some of the suggestions in this thread.
