David's Birthday/Il compleanno

This is such a powerful/beautiful scene...

That Elwood, and Harvey are male I rather believe that "Harvey - 1950" counts as a gay film despite one of the two partners being a giant rabbit ...worth watching the entire film...the humour is very dry, and subtle...not for those who are easily excited by "Transformers" et al...

I've seen an embarrassing amount of gay-themed movies, but my two favorites are Shelter and Bridegroom. Bridegroom is actually like a documentary, but it is the saddest shit you'll ever watch in your life. I hadn't cried since I was like 10, but I was in tears by the end of that movie. Definitely one you wouldn't want to watch often (or ever again) but it really needs to be seen at least once.

I like some but most of the recent ones are just terrible.

Maurice (fuck me, Hugh was so hot like a 50's movie icon)
Dorian Blues (Lea Coco, he reminds me of my older brother :D)
The Curiosity of Chance (it reminds of an 80's John Hughes film)
Latter Days (mostly for the hot guys, acting is iffy)
Brokeback Mountain (heartbreaking)
Patrik 1.5 (a foreign language film the I found very moving, Gustas Skarsgaard was damn cute)
A Love to Hide (another foreign language film)

In recent weeks, I've watched, "Getting Go, The Go/Doc Project."

If I didn't already adore Matthew Camp, I loved him even more after watching this. Great little gay romance flick.

Not a gay movie per se, but I would the documentary "Iris" to must-watch gay viewing.

East side story

East Side Story, I really enjoyed. Diego, the main character was adorable. And I really liked Steve Callahan's character (the neighbor across the street who gets into an argument with, and eventually breaks up with his own boyfriend, and falls in love with Diego). And I just love Diego's grandmother - he's scared to come out to her, but she only wants him to be happy.

Another Steve Callahan flick I really like is called, "Role/Play". Steve and his now-real-life husband, Matthew Montgomery, actually play two semi-famous guys (Steve's character is a recently-fired daytime soap actor, while Matthew plays a recently-divorced marriage equality activist) who meet at this B&B in Palm Springs. Steve's and Matthew's respective characters actually start out butting heads, but make amends afterwards, and eventually fall in love. A great movie that's definitely worth your time.

Summary: Kafka, a straight fitness trainer meets Daniel, a passionate executive who happens to be gay. The young men fatefully fall in love and believe that their love can bridge anything, even their difference in sexuality and Kafka's drug habits. Daniel does not regret his love for Kafka, who tries to love him back against his nature. But a dreadful memory from Kafka's past makes it difficult for their relationship to work. It turns out that their addiction to love proves more fatal than the drugs they use to explore the boundaries of their friendship.

Latter Days

I watched it again and cried at the end from pure joy. Love that movie
