Favorite Gay Movie?

Angels in America

It also has one of the most amazing intros.

I watched Love is a Four Letter Word the other day. It was a lot of fun, it's the sequel to Slutty Summer.

I also so Eating Out: Drama Camp and found it lacking. I loved the first 3 although the 3rd is by far and away my favourite. 4 just seemed flat. I'm looking forward to seeing Eating Out: Open Weekend in the hope they lifted their game again.

I also love the Donald Stratchy Mysteries starring Chad Allen as a gay PI. The relationship between him and his husband is really quite lovely to watch.

Personally, I just hated how their relationship in the movie ended. That just left a bitter taste in my mouth.

Mine are the classic older movies or good plot like;

Fluffer
Locked Up
Boy Culture
Shortbus
Dogtags

Shelter

^^ Only one that did not make me throw up, make me want to kill myself, or burn down my house

It sounds like a missed a lot of disasters hearing about the presence of drugs in a lot of gay movies.

I am not here for that.

Anyone see August? That ending?

Kill-Me-Now

Shelter is still my favorite gay movie too. I haven't seen anything else that even comes close.

I absolutely loved the latest "Eating Out." It was hilarious.

Just saw C.R.A.Z.Y. last night - great film. Very emotionally charged, raw, and realistic. I haven't seen many gay movies because they too often look like syrupy messes, but this wasn't like that.
So much to love about this movie. Scene after scene, it's a wonderful experience to watch it, the lead is gorgeous and gay. The music is sensational--Bowie, Pink Floyd, T Rex and more. Patsy cline with Crazy, of course. I loved the scene at the end when the leads brother broke dad's favorite Patsy cline record again!

I didn't overly care for Weekend. I thought the tall guy was cute and sweet. But I thought the other guy was a creep and a downer. Then there's the way the film ended... It was far from the worst gay film I have seen, but it is not in my top ten either. Different strokes I suppose.

Trick! I really wish I met the male lead's love interest in real life.

Yeah, same here...wasn't crazy about it.

Juste une Question d'Amour is my favorite gay film. Coming in a close second is Beautiful Thing. I thought Latter Days REEKED! I tried to watch it 3 times when I was low on gay film amo and just couldn't bring myself to get past the lead gay guy. Ugh, spare me the cliches.

Thanks to you guys, I now have 25 movies in queue to view over the next few weeks! :dead:

Also: Am I the only one who doesn't feel the love for Shelter? I never liked the film, and don't quite understand the hype for it.

Oh, this hurts! You didn't love Shelter? Minus 50 points for you. Shelter is my favorite gay movie by a mile! It's my husband's second favorite... his first is Mulligans with Charlie David... which just goes to prove that this is totally subjective.
