Pat Benatar fans will be hearing some of their favorite songs in a new way early next year.
Benatar tells that after they get off the road in September, she and husband/co-writer Neil Giraldo plan to start recording an album featuring acoustic versions of their songs, including hits such as "Love Is a Battlefield," "We Live for Love," "Promises in the Dark" and "Hell Is for Children" as well as more recent fare like "Every Time I Fall Back" and "Somebody's Baby."

I think she got the idea from Cyndi Lauper's 'Body Acoustic' project, but should be quite interesting.

Wherever she got the idea, I love it! I really hope she does it! She's really a great talent and I would welcome anything from her. I fell the same way about Cyndi Lauper, too. Great ladies and wonderful artists!

I heard her do "Promises in the Dark" acoustically on VH-1 (I think) recently. Fairly well done, although (not surprisingly) she had to make a few concessions in the bridge. That's not a slam - I could only sing that part when I was 18. In a REALLY hot shower.

I must have owned all her CDs except the last one "Go" which I didn't really care for it. I really love her music. I wish she could give us new material instead of remaking her old material. I'm really surprised that "Strawberry wine" wasn't a big hit. That song rocks. I would really like to see her back on the map like she once was in the 80's.

The dude that created this post wasn't even born when Benatar was punching out hit singles but that's all good.

I remember when I was a teenager and she was THE QUEEN (1981-83). Her and Stevie Nicks were the bomb.

Then along came a pretty little peroxide princess singing about going over the "Borderline,"that blew everybody sky high.

I love Pat Benatar. I have her greatest hits CD, which I believe is titled, "Best Shots". My favorite song of hers was Invincible. She has a very powerful voice that is full of passion.
