Re: Prince Fans
I loved every Prince album up until that "Symbol" attrocity.
I stilll love 1999 and Sign of the Times. I think Purple Rain is amazing.
Once he lost his mind, he lost his way and he never found his way back.
Musicology is alright.. but only when compared to the last few albums of dreck.
I saw him in concert recently, and I decided i hate him now.
He'd changed the lyrics to all his best songs to they're palitable to the Christian audience or something. "Little Red Corvet" is no longer about a girl who believes in making out once.. now it's about a girl who "Dreams" of making out once.
In DMSR he used to say "It ain't no sin to strip right down to your underwear". now he says "It ain't no sin to party hard at night".
Lame.
oh well.. I'll always have those records.
