Favorite Soup

In no particular order;

New England Clam Chowder
French Onion
Split Pea
Potato or Corn Chowder
Creamy Tomato-Basil
Cream of Broccoli

the list goes on and on...

Another one! There is a clam chowder that is served in parts of CT and RI that has a clear broth, rather than using cream or tomatoes. Yum!

Ooooo, that sounds good. I don't like the Manhattan Clam Chowder, but the broth-based would definitely be different.

Chicken Vegetable
Cream of wild Mushroom
Wild Mushroom and Barley

Low brow:
Cream of Mushroom (only Campbell's will do, thank-you. Half milk, half water)

High brow:
Lobster Bisque (all ingredients MUST be fresh!)

I love fifteen bean soup with lots of cajun spices and black pepper! Oh, and I wouldn't mind a hunk of French bread on the side! Yum!!

my set:
clam chowder
chicken tortilla
split pea
french onion
minestrone
zuppa toscana
roasted vegetable
roasted red pepper and tomato
chicken noodle

Now I'm hungry! I'd have to say split pea w/ ham, brocolli & cheese, black bean... just to name a few.

I make a lush soup, so simple - Potato, carrots, lentils and a leek. Boil the lentils they they go soft, then and the rest of the ingredients. Simmer till soft, then blend it. Sprinkle of Taragon leaves and presto!...

That sounds like something I would like to try. I stay away from prepared soups because they have way too much sodium for my liking.

Ok don't laugh, but i STILL love Campbell's Chicken and Stars....ate it when i was a kid and still love it......on an adult note, i love putting together my own vegetable soup with ground beef and veggies and lots of crackers.

My Grandma used to make this incredible 'beef burgundy' soup that I've
yet to be able to recreate, so that's my fav. for sentimental reasons.
(Although, I suspect half of the wine went into the soup, and the other half
into HER, but I digress.... ;) )

Other than that, I like 'Italian Wedding' as well, plus I had this *incredible*
French onion out in Seattle over the summer at some place called 'Pigalle'
in Pike's Market. (Mel ! Help !)

It was unlike anything I'd ever tasted. :gogirl:
