Favorite Television Episode Of All Time

That Friends episode from (I think) series 3. I'm pretty sure it was episode 2 in the series and is called "The one where nobody's ready."

It's the one where Chandler and Joey fight over the chair and then Joey ends up wearing all Chandler's clothes and going commando and does the lunges. They're all supposed to be getting ready for a benefit dinner that Ross's unit at the museum is hosting. Absolutely classic!

And then of course there's the Fawlty Towers legend "The kipper and the corpse," which is completely timeless, as is "The Germans" and "Basil and the Rat." That was completely brilliant television for something which only lasted 12 episodes in the space of 5 years.

"Chuckles Bites the Dust"- the Mary Tyler Moore show
"Hush" - Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Also..I don't know if it counts, but how about "Went With the Wind" from the Carol Burnette show?

I like these two....

Sex and the City My Motherboard,Myself - Miranda's mother dies,Samantha refuses to deal with the grief of her friend and loses her ability to orgasm,Carrie's computer crashes and dies and when Aiden tries to help her,she throws up walls and tells him that she can take care of herself,Charlotte decides to send flowers to Philly to comfort Miranda's family and overdoes it....

The Golden Girls The Accurate Conception - Blanche's estranged daughter rekindles her relationship with her and to Blanche's horror admits that she is going to get impregnated by a sperm donor.

ETA The end of Six Feet Under is an amazing ending...hard to top that one!

^NewsRadio!

I loved that show. My favourite of those was the one where all the girls are out of the office except Lisa, and when she protests that she is a girl, nobody treats her as such. As I recall, as she walks off somewhere, even Jimmy James says "where are you going, dude?" Classic!

Stupid Phil Hartman's wife...

"Cripple Fight" on South Park. I know its wrong but I laugh so hard.

"The Piano" on The Flintstones. A classic (and yes I know my age is showing).

"The Pine Barrens" on The Soprano's. Paulie and Christopher at their best.

"Five O'Clock Charlie" on MASH.

Probably 'Vitameatavegamin'.

Though Martha Longhurst dying in The Rovers Return was pretty good too.

"The One Where Everybody Finds Out" - FRIENDS

Pheobe and Rachel find out about Chandler and Monica....But instead of bringing it up to their faces they come up with the idea of Pheobe seducing Chandler. LOVE it

"Trick Or Treat" - ROSEANNE

Roseanne and Jackie gets trapped down at the old Lobo while on the way to a costume party. Jackie as a cat and Roseanne as a very believable looking man. Playing pool with the fellas to using a mens urinal. Funny as hell.

whoa! you have the best taste ever!

personally I like the episode of monty python's flying circus where alien blancmanges turn everyone into scotsmen so they can win wimbledon.

and yes, I am a dork.

I have to agree with sissyboy about "Chuckles the Clown" on the MTM show. That's a classic.

My other favorite was on Sex and the City when Carrie and Mr. Big danced to "Moon River" in an empty apartment when he was moving out of town.

West Wing Season 2, final episode "Two Cathedrals". When Bartlet takes on god in his own language, man oh man.

"Abby Normal" ER. ER had lots of good episodes early on, but this episode was just two years ago I believe and one of the few bright spots in a long line of crap. It was nice to have it back for a brief time.

Not sure the episode title, but the Season 1 finale of Queer as Folk. You are on such a high and then it just knocks the breath out of you.

In Excelsis Deo / The West Wing (Season 1)
There were many things going in this episode, President Bartlett goes shopping in a an old book store, Sam and Josh are planning an attack on a political opponent of Leo's... but the one part that got me was Toby's story. He is contacted by thw D.C. police because one of his business cards happened to be in the pocket of a coat he had donated to charity. The coat ended up with a homeless veteran who had died of exposure out in the streets. He is so moved that he uses the power of the president's office, something he should not have done, to arrange a proper burial with honors at Arlington. The scenes at the cemetary at the end of the episode were so powerful, I still get a little misty eyed when I see it.
