There is a body mod forum for people into piercings and tattoos that I used to visit, and it was really sad that a F2M trans posted a message saying he wanted to cut off his large breasts. Obviously everyone told him not to because it would be fatal. He identified as a gay guy too, I hope he got help.

See, even those photos don't turn me on. Because the fact is, I know it's a vagina. And frankly, I'm one of those gay guys who is turned OFF by seeing a vagina. Like the OP, it is a bit discomforting considering being with someone who is attractive fully clothed, but their genitals would just make any close relationship impossible.

Actually, I meant that I would have no problem being with a man who has a vagina. I don't really care about a guy's penis. Perhaps it's because I'm a top?

The disconcerting part was that sexual attraction for me doesn't extend to the person pre-testosterone therapy. Even if I can acknowledge the pre-T guy is sweet and has an attractive personality, I don't feel any physical pull until they have those secondary sex characteristics (deepened voice, facial hair, male hairline/jawline, etc.).

Really? I've seen a couple of medical sites on this that show the results of phalloplasty. . .and it basically looks like just a flesh tube, and nothing at all like a penis.

Some do, some don't. I've seen photos of the "flesh tube" and I've seen ones which look like a kid's wiener.

Not sure that the frontal pics will get through Mod Towers cock-blocking efforts but they are here. The flesh tube is right down at the bottom - apparently the attempt to create a proper head failed and was removed again.

But when I think of the lack of penis, I feel like that would be a problem for me. I don't know if that makes me transphobic? I feel guilty about that tbh but I do wish them well and think they're hot. etc

I don't think it makes you transphobic in the same way that not being attracted to women doesn't make you a misogynist. Strangely, I don't think I'd be bothered about the lack of a penis.

I do like the penis, but I guess I could live without it if I were to date a ftm. But I also don't think you are transphobic. It just makes me think of homophobics- from the hatred and cruelty they may use. You're just simply not attracted to a vagina, and that's ok. There's nothing wrong with that unless you're putting them down or something.

I think it's sad that they equate masculinity with inflicting their bodies with dopey designs in permanent ink.

Maybe his ink was something he really liked?

Or, in more crude speak: It's easier to turn a pole into a hole than it is to turn a hole into a pole.
