Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

GAWD!!!! She sucks like Hoover and dances like Pee Wee Herman............

Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

OH JESUS! That's terrible, just terrible! She would've been better off to just start yodeling.

I couldn't have done any better at being bad if I practiced for a week, Fergie! Way to go, leaky!

Oh God you seriously made me cry just now! I keep playing it and it still cracks my shit up LOL!

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

Gosh... I think I am showing my age hehe.

You're not showing your age, Drops... You're showing your good
taste in music. :=D:

Myself, I like all sorts, from classical to country to rap...as long as
there is *some* sort of musical talent involved.

I may not care for your music, but I will be the first to applaud your talent.

Sadly, this year's AMA's and Billboard 'awards' show just how low pop
music has sank...

I like Gwen, I liked 'No Doubt', but Gawd almighty, this 'Wind me up Up'
crap (sampling 'The Lonely Goatherd' from 'The Sound of Music', of all things,
is about the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen) I'm not sure if I should laugh or cry....

MTV, aka...Viacom, Sony, Fox and a couple of other ones are *controlling*
music.... And it's God damned depressing if you ask me. Rock and Rap *used* to be about rebellion....But now...it's become a marketing tool,
with clueless teenagers 'rebelling' at their local mall in air conditioned comfort on their way to Ralph Lauren

And BTW, folks....Not to shatter any illusions you may still harbor, but those people you see in the first 20 rows of these shows with their hands in the air and their endless smiles.... Are paid hired 'extras', there to create a sense of 'excitement' for the TV viewing audience.

The 'new boss', who's the same as the 'old boss' has won.

:(

Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

Is it just me or does anyone else think the band for these performances sucked.

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

the Dutchess of York has a rap album out?

Man, she's really scarping the bottom of the barrell, isn't she?

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

Well, I don't think she was drunk, it's just an awful song with an awful performance. Sounds like Vanilla Ice.

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

As a fan of No Doubt/Gwen since 1994, WOW. That was the shittiest of I've ever heard her voice live, usually her singing is fantastic. But WOW. This is trash!

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

the preformance wasnt that bad , wasnt fantastic either , but what was missing was her attitude , and man what such a huge stage , couldnt she have used it a bit and moved around a bit or even dnace? I suppose this will become a learning experience for her lol

Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

That was crap. But I agree that she looked nervous (body language and all) and she seems to have the showmanship when she's with the BEPs.

Who knows.

Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

yeah...it definitely seemed like nervousness. we know she can sing and she raps well for a poseur so it's gotta be nerves.

Re: Thanks Fergie Ferg-I really needed a laugh today!

Whenever I get nervous about doing something I usually have to pee before I go on to relieve the nervousness. Fergie should've done this. Preferably onstage. LOL

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

ok, well, I just watched it.

Now I make no secret of the fact that I think Hip Hop is a lesser form of music for stupid people, so take from that what you will.

That isn't a "song". That was a bunch of dorks dancing around some girl reciting words that rhyme in a tone of voice that sounds like she's complaining about how her porridge was too hot and the next was too cold.

The background music took about as much talent as a thrid grade finger painting, and she looked like she would rather be at the mall shopping for shoes.

If that's what passes as pop music these days, I'm glad I dont' have a TV or a radio anymore.

Re: Fergie on Billboard Awards...Wow

Well, I don't think she was drunk

Maybe Fergie was high then. Watch it again and notice how she looks lost during most of it, how Will I Am (OMG that spells William! God I'm stupid lol) kind of stands next to her and tries to get her back on track, and how at one point she looks at him like a child would waiting for instruction. Also once she gets to the rap part she's clearly slurring, and toward the end she just moans or sighs into the microphone and stops singing compltely. She was fucked up in one way or another.

Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix reject!!

Well, I knew that she kind of, let's say, "saluted" Gwen with London Bridge, whose chorus is basically a slowed down version of "Hollaback Girl".

But her new song is actually a Gwen reject down to the Ludacris rap part!! (They even kept the line "If You Ain't Got No Money, Take Your Brok Ass Home").

The music to "Glamorous" [Featuring Ludacris] (which was produced by Pollow Da Don) was actually taken from a remix of Gwen's "Luxurious", made in 2005.

Pollow made the remix with Ludacris, and they handed it to Gwen. Se didn't like the remix, so it never saw the light of day. It was actually only released on a mix tape from DJ Ideal.

Fast forward to early 2006, Fergie and Pollow (who also produced "London Bridge") collaborate on her album "The Dutchess". Since that Gwen remix was never used, Pollow shows it to Fergie, and she likes it. They think it will be a hit, so they re-write other lyrics to go over top of the music. Even though the subject matter of both songs is the exact same. (The titles are even similar "Luxurious" turns into "Glamorous").

The Ludacris rap from the Gwen remix, is the EXACT same. He didn't even re-record it or change any of the lyrics!!

Here is the "Luxurious" remix....

And here's a youtube video of Gwen's remix.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGcoYNsT6_U

I won't upload "Glamorous" because the song's #1, so I'm assuming you've all heard it.

PS: I'm not trying to blast Fergie b/c I like her and the song. Using the music is cool (I don't blame them for using it becuase it's a good beat), but they could've at LEAST changed the subject matter of the song, or the rap or something else. It's not like Gwen's remix didn't surface at all. My friend had it on his computer for over a year!! And the original version of "Luxurious" was a hit single!!

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Heh, that's almost as lame as the video for the song itself... Although it was quite educational. I didn't realize that Fergie was a ghetto princess who used to roll around the barrio with her homegirls. I thought she was too busy with Kids Incorporated and Wild Orchid.

Re: Wow Fergie TOTALLY ripped off Gwen (Yet again...) "Glamorous" is Gwen remix rejec

Stop hating and accept the fact that GLAMOROUS is the number 1 in america right now and that Fergie does a better Gwen than Gwen, which is why she is running back to No Doubt lol.

When i first heard it i thought it was catchy but i i didnt think people wanted to hear about how good a celerity has it but i was wrong because it was the biggest sales gainer, jumping from 8 to number 1.
