I dont think your fucked.;) A number of people have said they can relate to this story. Surprisingly ATWT has handled this well for a soap.

I don't know...I think Noah is going to deny it and some how turn it around so that Maddie thinks Luke is just wishful thinking. He'll go the old yeah he kissed me and I didn't know what to do cause his your friend Maddie or something stupid like that.

What I'm more interested in is you know there's going to be a showdown between Luke and Noah's father. When these two guys are stuck together it's like adding water to a grease fire!! :)
 
That was an unexpected advancement. I thought it would be months before it got to this point. But I agree with the above post. Either Noah will spin it, causing more turbulence between them, or Luke will come to Noah's rescue again and say that he has a hopeless crush on Noah even though he "knows Noah is straight.".
 
Hellooooo?!? Anybody else out there watching the same "As The World Turns" that I am? Yes, there's an up-n-coming gay love story (which will be dragged out through the rest of this millennium), but there are other characters and far more intriguing storylines going on right now.

Like who killed Call Girl Mama Cheri Love? Was it Dusty? Lily? Alison? My money is on 12-step program vet Susan.

There's also the romantic quadrangle of Craig, Meg, Rosanna and Paul.

Hopefully these storylines are being noticed while everybody's tuning in to get their daily CBS "gay fix."

I don't care about the other storylines. I can catch the same thing on CSI, or Medium or Bones...but it's not everyday that you can find a story about two gay guys that you can relate too!

Yeah and I am sorry that eventually the day will come when there will be no more soap opera's on tv. But change is good my friend. It's happened before with the all morning game shows when i was a kid! It was the only fun part about getting sick and not being able to go to school for the day....I got to watch games shows like bumper stumpers, press your luck, let's make a deal etc.

Then the same thing happened in the 90's with the trash tv talk shows.

Take it from the good old doctor....nothing lasts forever....everything has it's time and place and eventually must die.

Okay, I need a little background here. What went down with Casey? Last time I saw the entire show was during the whole mass murder thing. That turned out to be [strike]Yawn-girl[/strike] Maddie's sister, right?

And can I just say I'm so looking forward to Lily tearing a piece off the Colonel? Oh, and why are Lily and Holden living at Emma's now--or are they just spending a lot of time there? I'm so confused!

BTW - My opinion is that Katie and Paul should get together and run away to somewhere far afield--like Argentina or something, never to be heard from again. I can't stand either of them, never could.

Wanted to give you guys a treat! Enjoy! So here are the basic summaries of two audition scripts that have graced the Bruno offices (Michael Bruno) ! Troy was listed as a recurring character, and his role is apparently a new one.


Troy:

Troy is filing papers in an office with Luke confronts him. Troy puts down his folders and asks Luke what he needs. Luke asks why Troy has been ignoring his IMs and text messages.

Troy pauses, saying he didn't realize the two were friends so he didn't understand why Luke expects him to remain in contact. Luke is visibly hurt by Troy's words, and exclaims that after what happened between them the other night, he expected the two of them to be- "something."

Troy awkwardly informs Luke that he is a cute kid, and what they had was fun. Luke flashes to him and Troy standing within a confined environment as they furiously unbuckle each other's belts, before returning to the present. Troy explains that he was on that website to hook up, not to make BFF with someone or find a boyfriend.

Luke argues, asking if he knows how hard it is, for him at least, to meet people who are like him? Troy suggests that Luke try getting out, and going to a gay club or something.

Troy leaves the office, and Luke follows the young man out as he leaves. Luke moves to follow Troy out, and bumps into Noah who tries to talk to him. Luke blows off Noah to pursue Troy, and Noah is flustered.

THANK YOU!!! Nice to know someone gets it. Which is why organizations like GLAAD exist, and will continue to exist, until your second sentence is no longer any more true than the part about having to watch ATWT to get the oh-so-rare "Nuke" storyline, no matter how many people on this forum criticize it.

I hadn't really planned on posting about the whole Troy storyline, since I don't have any evidence one way or the other. But most of the ATWT sites I've been on assure me that 'Troy' is a myth. The most up to date spoilers I have say that
Luke is going to be in a serious accident, possibly because of Noah's psycho dad. In happier news
Luke and Noah are set to kiss again next Wednesday. (!)(!)(!) I'd spoil that, too, but TPTB on As The World Turns are aggressively promoting the news, no doubt hoping that ratings will spike again. And since I want that too, who am I to disagree with the bringers of 'Nuke'.
 
Jake is definitely my type as well.

I'm also loving the Carly/Brad/Kack (not big on the "name," but seems it is the designated one) story. I'm getting pissed with Jack though. I know Carly has done some awful things, but really, give her a break. How can he be so blind and ignorant as to not realize something is wrong after having been married to her for years?

As for the Cheri storyline, it's kinda blech... The only interest I have in it is that Col. Maher will be out of the picture at the end of it (well, at least that's what I hope). I'm still wondering about the comment the prostitute made about how the abusive husband didn't kill her, but the son did. I know we've seen Col. Maher's memories of the incident, and his admission, but that comment is still lingering every time the story is on the screen.
 
qazzopazzo...when you were but a stirring in your father's loins, the best we could hope for in a gay television character was Steven Carrington on Dynasty--a primetime soap. Hell, I remember calling each other in the early 90s when one of those outrageous mid-day talkshows would have one of "us" on the panel. It was a huge thing--even if we couldn't relate to that person's story.

To have come from that to the Luke/Noah storyline is incredible progress. And if the writers are presenting PSAs, then just be glad they're pro-queer PSAs and not you're-going-to-hell ones.

Do what you gotta do, but think about the story in the context of our times.
 
I've just added two more days (Sept 19 & 20) of ATWT Luke & Noah related scenes on YouTube for anyone that's interested.





Is it just wishful thinking on my part or does it look like this story might have legs after all. Keep it going ATWT, have the courage to show the developments of the lives of these two characters in the long term rather than the usual truncated story line.!
 
Why does the Nuke storyline get so little airtime with being shown only two days a week? The Carly storyline is on every day. WTF CBS?
