Meal plans suck cuz once they already have your money, there's no incentive to make good food. I can't beleive grilled chicken isn't a staple. Do they only have burgers, meatloaf, and spaghetti?
When I was an undergrad I could always have a grilled chicken breast sandwich if there was nothing else appetizing. Yogurt, muesli or granola, a banana, and a naked juice or odwalla smoothy was also a common meal for me.
Sometimes I would put marinara sauce on green beans or roasted vegetables and some fresh stuff from the salad cart, and then sprinkle oyster crackers on top. Basically I had pasta, a side dish, and a salad, but if the cashier thought I was cute or had a thing for me, they'd smirk or giggle and only charge me for the vegetables

, but if it was some old guy then he'd make me pay for everything.
Can you use your meal plan to buy grocery type things like whole wheat bread and tuna or peanut butter? Or better yet, maybe you can sell your meal plan for some cash to a commuter or someone who doesnt have a meal plan but doesnt want to bring their own food to campus. Then you can order out or buy groceries. Some big supermarket chains deliver too if you don't have a car.
