Theres a lot of good horror movies from the 80s.

For those who likes horror movies this is the list of horror movies that are i recommend.

The scary horror.

The Entity from 1981.Very good story and very good actors. The music is creepy and you will have jumps. This is really scary. No gore in that one but in that kind of movie you don t need it anyway. If you watch this movie it s better for you to watch it alone in the night with the light off.It s better to watch scary horrror movies at midnight. You will see you will not be able to sleep without the tv on in your room. This movie is very intense. This is obvioulsy one of the best horror movies.Very recommended.

Alucarda from 1976.If you liked the devil kind of horror this is for you. This movie is not really good but for some reasons you could like it.It s weird and you have a creepy feeling about that movie. In that movie you see naked men, gore and scary things. This movie is about possession of your body.

The Unholy from 1988.Truly frightening. The movie is average but scary.

The Zero Boys from 1986.Good movie with good actors. The suspense is good. Some scary moments.

The gory horror

Violent shit 1,2 and 3.These movies are very bad but the gore is non stop.Theres a lot of gore.In violent shit 2 you see the killer who have hook and he pierce the man scrotum with it and pull out his balls. It s uncut. If you like extreme horror movies who are very gory this is for you.

Schramm. This movie is sick.It s not for everybody. This is very shocking and hard to watch. This is very violent. You see a man pierce his penis with a nail and you see the blood. It s uncut.Do you dare watch this movie?

Nekromantik. This is a crazy horror movie.Lots of gore.It s very shocking. This is for those who like their horror movies extreme.

Premutos. One of the most gory horror movie.Theres comedy in it.It s a good movie.I saw the movie in french and the french voices are good.A lot of people says that the english dubbed voices is bad.If you don t like the english dubbed voices you can watch the movie with sub tittles.Everybody who loves horror movies love this movie.

What horror movies do you recommend?

What kind of horror movies scares you the most?

mahalo for the movie pic advice! I love horror movies, but i hate it (i mean really hate it!) when i rent a really boring horror flick...

You described the films as if you had just come out of the theater ...

I have to agree that ancient horror movies are really cool. I love western horror movies. It creeps me out sometimes. But what makes it stay in my head would be asian horror movies. Not all since most of them have modern touch to it. Indonesian & Thai Horror movies would be my top choices. Their scenes are very natural since they have alot of nature elements like in the jungle, in old wooden houses/ villages, traditional spiritual elements, etc. One of my favourites have to be The Art Of Devil 1 & 2. They are fantastic since they do happen here in asian countries(Asian Voodoo). It makes you wonder & sometimes can be a bit too gory too.

Here's a sneak peek. I don't know wheather its shown in the US or not:

(Warning: A bit Disturbing)

I love horror films. Although I much prefer chilling psychological horrors; ones that rely on suggestion, shadow and suspense rather than gallons of glop and gore and limbs being hacked off between morning coffee and elevenses. I also have no time for the run-of-the-mill crud that Hollywood churns out constantly. The makers of those films seem to think that delivering a sudden loud noise during a lull in the action constitutes a bona-fide thrill. Whatever!

I was really impressed with The Exorcism of Emily Rose, which offered an interesting and compelling hybrid of film genres; the horror and the court-room drama. The sense of dread, doom and drama was dense and bristling, and the special effects were sensationally realistic because of their simplicity. A very fine film, IMO.

I love Fright Night, because there's a good measure of comedy to juxtapose effectively with the real heart-pounding, predatory sense of danger that swoops on vampire-bat wings through the entire movie.

Halloween. The ingredients for a fantastic horror movie are all there: the seeming safeness of a quiet, leafy suburban American neighbourhood, the significance of the time of year, the power of the corner-of-the-eye glance, the suggestion of shadow, the knife-wielding maniac whose inhumanity and ruthlessly robotic drive to kill is symbolised by the weird, pale, expressionless mask he wears, the atmospheric, unsettling music. Hell, even Donald Pleasance as Dr. Loomis (who's meant to be the good guy) is almost as spooky as Michael Myers!

At the moment, I'm also enjoying the Masters of Horror series of short films. I have the entire first series on DVD. There's one or two that I haven't seen yet, but my current favourites from the first series are Cigarette Burns (which is about a rare-film dealer's doom-laden quest to search for an infamously violent, depraved cult film on behalf of a mysterious wealthy client (played by the fabulous Udo Kier; a veteran of the horror genre) and Haeckel's Tale, an uber-eerie, hypnotic adaptation of a Clive Barker story about necromancy and necrophilia in 19th-Century rural Massachusetts.

On the other hand; horror films which I don't find even remotely scary are The Exorcist ("your mother sucks cocks in hell!"- :rotflmao: )and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (another laugh-riot featuring a heavy-set guy in a mask and butcher's apron doing a disjointed ballet routine whilst holding a chainsaw aloft and screaming "Meeeeeeh! Meeeeaaah! Meeh! Meh! Meeeeh! Meh!").

I have practically zero ability to understand or appreciate horror films and have no desire to watch any of them. I do not find them intellectually stimulating as, for example, those forensic television shows like CSI, etc.

I love horror, they pretty rule over any genre of film for me. Not sure why, but I've always rooted for the villains in movies, books, games, whatever... But its just great to not take that type of movie too seriously & escape for a little bit

Whether they're campy with bad acting or psychologically haunting, or whether the story is original, another teen slasher, or torture like Saw & Hostel, or whatever they're great & I enjoy them

You would really be hard-pressed to find a horror film I won't like, lol

And about the Exorcism of Emily Rose, I got my mom to watch it with me & she really enjoyed it (literally never happens with horror or anything that isn't on Lifetime) LoL

I just saw Dead Silence (the movie about the ventriloquist dummies) and it scared the shit out of everyone in the theater!

Behind us there was a row of nothing but dudes and they were shrieking louder than us LOL!

Horror movies are my fave out of any genre. I dont like the old ones though. I prefer the more recent ones. I like the gory/bloody ones the most.

I love horror films, mainly the ones from the late 70's and early 80's.
The original Black Christmas was the best ever.
Then of course theres Night Of the Living Dead the original. That movie still creeps me out today. But I still love it...........

the entity.....is the one where the girl gets raped by a ghost???

Hmm...

The first 'Hellraiser' has an odd creepiness to it.

'Evil Dead 2' Laughs and scares intermingle in a way I've never seen in any other film.

'Re-animator' Unforgettable

John Carpenter's 'They Live'.... a film about subliminals and mind control that is filled with subliminal flashes of it's own. The money reading "This is your God" is about as terrifying as it gets... Sleep, Consume, Buy....

'Rosemary's Baby'. Really dated, but still can get to you when you're least expecting it.

And, 'Salem's Lot'. Yes, a 'TV movie', I know...But a DAMN scary one
