For Those Who Likes Scary Horror Movies

The Changeling was a great movie designed to scare people shitless. Great stuff. The Exorcism of Emily Rose still gives me nightmares.

Carrie was a pretty chilling movie, too.

An interesting note about Carrie.

That infamous final dream sequence when what's her name was walking towards Carrie's grave....

That entire scene was shot with all the actors walking backwards, and 'Carrie's hand' actually going DOWN into the dirt of the grave....Then, shown in 'reverse' in the film's final cut.

Next time you see it, it'll be kind of obvious...

Gave the entire scene a kind of, well, 'dreamy' look.

I believe thatw as done to give it an odder look. It's pretty cool.

Rosemary's baby and Halloween are my two favorites. That creppy Halloween music still gets to me.

Opera from 1987 is one of the best dario argento movies.

This is a very good horror movie.

Demons 1 and 2 are very good.

I love italian horror movies.

My favorite horror flicks

Nightmare on Elm Street
The Exorcist

others

Jeepers Creepers
Scream
Final Destination

Halloween is my favourite horror films, it's a classic. That theme is so unnerving.

Horror is hot.

Don't forget Stephen King's 'It'. That motherfucker Pennywise gave me clown-phobia.

The 1st Season of Masters of Horror is awesome (way more than the lame season 2). I agree with Ludlow, my favorite of the bunch had to be Cigarette Burns. Though it would be my second had the producers allowed for the cast of Imprint to speak in Japanese and not in broken English. Imprint was much, much more disturbing than Cigarette Burns.

Suicide Circle is another Japanese film that I loved. Most of the stuff in Hostel were homage to the scenes there. There are also some very creative uses for human skin.

There's also the Angel Guts series, also from Japan. It's about a girl who constantly gets raped. It'd turn me on if I were straight, but mostly, it just gets a little disturbing how much time the main chic gets violated.

My favorite of all time though, isn't exactly horror, but gets thrown into the genre all the same. Battle Royale. It's the most fucking amazing movie ever. EVER.

The Descent
was awesome. Gravedancers was cool, but it kind of fell apart by the fourth act (giant ghost head!).

And I was stupid to forget Evil Dead. Which is funny because the ghost designs in Gravedancers were homage to the ones in Evil Dead.

Day Of The Dead ( One of the best zombie movie )

The Funhouse ( Good slasher horror movie )

Re Animator ( Good horror movie )

Return of the living dead 2 ( The best zombie movie )

The Stendhal Syndrome ( The best dario argento movie )

"Silent Hill" The art direction was stunning. Creepy as hell, literally.

"The Ring" Fabulous all the way around. I was afraid of my t.v. for weeks.

I am SOOOO with you on those 2! ..|

Another good one I just saw the other day on HBO was The Hills Have Eyes. I swear, if I was a little kid that's the kind of movie that would haunt me for years. Same thing for Silent Hill and The Ring.

Kinda shocked that Saw hasn't come up more often. For me those movies are incredibly well directed. Great plots and they keep getting better. I guess Saw 4 is going to lost that trend. As far as I understand the original directors are out.

I LOVE Evil Dead 1 & 2 and the third one is alright too.

Amityville (all of em)

Storm of the Century a Stephen King movie ... AWESOME!!

Dawn of the Dead and Land of the Dead. Not the originals but the remakes. I know their newer but I love the gore and graphic blood. Second one is better for this.

Silent Hill is great

I'm using my netflix account to see all the oldies that others have mentioned. Generally speaking the oldies are the best out there.
