Well, you DID use the guys in more than one story, so far . . .

Rory, you are slaying me with all these great lines. How in the world do you come up with all of these? We need a whole section on notable quotes from the writings of Rory. Wonderful stuff.“Lemuel? That doesn't even sound Jewish. It sounds three genes short of Ozark incest.”
I would urgently like to insert your penile appendage into my oral cavity without encountering any dental protuberances.' How sexy is that?”
The Alameda stories have a sequence, so it might help to read them in order.
1. Alameda
2. Eric's Story
3. Rory's Stories
4. Four Miles and Counting.
5. Change at Gallery Place (The scene shifts to Washington, but some of the Alameda guys are in it.)
Actually, no, Change at Gallery Place preceded Four Miles.
Anyway, I can't thank you enough Rory, for the pleasure your stories have given me. Four Miles was wonderful too, a little darker in places than the preceding ones, and totally satisfying.
Once again, you played with your readers' emotions. I laughed out loud in many places, I was devastated at Eric and Z's breakup, so angry with Eric. I was shocked at Neil's death, was frustrated with Nicky as he lost his way, but then felt a bit sorry for him. I felt warm in every scene with Tom and Heiko.
The last chapter was a very satisfying finale, quite moving in the way it gave us a little update on most of the major characters (except for Darren). But it had an air of finality that suggested we've seen the last of your Alemeda characters. If I'm wrong about that, I'll be very happy.
I'm pleased that I still have several of your stories left to read, so I expect I'll be enjoying your writing for some time yet.
Cheers, HF
Loved reading your story for the first time Rory. The name Lemuel brought back memories of a relative who was involved in the US Civil War.
I am now reading your story "Change at Gallery Place" it's a very good story so far.
