Fox News Ticker Gets Hacked in New York

This thread is about Fox News?

This says it all. If you think that ticker is embarrassing or whatever, it doesn't amount to that.

Doesn't surprise me that Laika is defending them. Yeah, we aren't broke... but the republicans want us to become broke by not taxing the crooks.

What does what you posted have anything to do with the thread, even tangentially?

I've been looking for reports to see if it's real or faked. Has anyone found anything about it?

Glad to see Ed Schultz using his time off wisely.#-o

It sounds like you granted him permission. Good job!

I think he's muskie fishing in North Dakota, not that there's anything wrong with that. The far-leftist low-life that he is, I'm willing to bet that he even has a fishing license!

Fox tells the truth. Fox doesn't tell the truth. How would we know the difference?

The video is obviously faked. That girl's ass can't possibly be that big.

I'm going to ask once, nicely. GiancarloC and JB3, address the topic at hand and not each other. Failing that, get a room!:sex:

No, it's really easy and doable with most of the professional video editing programs. You only need to do it right once and set a few points of reference that allow the program to calculate the correct perspective.

Ok, OK,, I'll believe y'all. Can you tell me what the software is? I have photoshop and PSP 7,8,9,11.

^ Just to clarify, assuming this footage is faked, it's actually done very well. There are no stray movements or distortions, despite the shaky camera moves and motion blur.

The process that achieves this kind of result is called Motion Tracking. To motion track this footage, I would assign at least 4 tracking points, probably using some of the finer white light reflections on the rear wall. You tell the software which points to track, and it then steps through the footage frame by frame and measures the movement of these points each frame. With 2 tracking points, you can measure movement on the XY axis AND rotation. With 4 tracking points you can measure perspective changes as well.

The software is seldom perfect in the real world, and painstaking adjustments are often required to get quality results. In the case of this footage, I would expect it to take at least an hour or two of tracking work, maybe more. It's certainly not a one-click process - unfortunately! :-)

Adobe After Effects is a common application used for this type of work. The latest version of After Effects includes a new stabilization tool that may evolve into a true one-click tracking tool in the future - but we aren't there yet.

If I had a few hours I'd re-track the Fox footage and add a special message just for JUB, but I just don't have time this week. :-(

Thanks Andy, that explains the process very well. I've been looking at After Effects, so now I gotta get it. I have the time so if I can figure it out I'll try to do a JUB message.:rotflmao:

No really I'll try!!
