I don't drive. Never have, never will. Friends offer lifts, and i accept them, but sometimes i just say, "nah, it's easier for me to train it to yours. saves you time." I just use public transport or a cab. I have occsionally asked a favour, but i only do it if it's just too hard to get to, but i never consider it necessary for my friends to say yes. In most circumstances, i get a lift if picking me up is on the way to somewhere we are both going. And i usually buy a drink/burger or something to say thanks.
