While there are some delightful bits here, there's also, predictably, an immense amount of ignorance and stupidity represented. Loki pinpointed a good item of that and has dealt with it well. Rather than get in new arguments with people whose faith forbids them from thinking clearly about the matter, I have some favorite pieces of my own to contribute:

It looks like the Pope has devil horns LOL. Maybe it isn't an optical illusion after all. He's a disgusting man who has helped enable the molestation of countless children. He condemns homosexuality while ignoring pedophilia within his own ranks. He's against condoms more than he's against AIDs. He tells people not to worship money but is surrounded by gold and other riches. He's against Halloween and most the Harry Potter books/movies but has no problem with the genocide and sex-slavery in his precious Bible.

It's time the Catholic church be disbanded and the money put towards building the infrastructure necessary to help feed the world's poor.

I guess the pope would say the molesters were only .0005% of the total number staff across the globe.

The Methodist church are doing this in my country. They have sold off almost all of their buildings to fund community rehabilitation programs.

Yep. I wish I could link you to the "debate" on Cuatro in which he was very satisfied with himself, tapping the tips of his fingers together while he slipped in and out the tip of his tongue on his lower lip, after having declared that, as horrible as the cases of paedophilia in the Catholic Church may be, they still have made suffer less children than "other people".

No, we were already on the subject of that particular pope and he's also the only one still alive and currently relevant. I'm willing to bet that the further we go back in history the more disgusting they tend to be.

I find that this entire thread to be seriously Blasphemous, with the exception of a very few that display Romney, Santorum, and Palin, etc. All else is Blasphemy.

Take any Western art history book: there's plenty there too

No, we were already on the subject of that particular pope and he's also the only one still alive and currently relevant. I'm willing to bet that the further we go back in history the more disgusting they tend to be.

I find that this entire thread to be seriously Blasphemous, with the exception of a very few that display Romney, Santorum, and Palin, etc. All else is Blasphemy.

I can find only two, arguably three posts which can qualify as blasphemous. OTOH, there's a serious number that would be offensive to Roman Catholics, but being offensive doesn't make them blasphemous. There are also a number that are just plain ignorant and therefore stupid, but that doesn't make them blasphemous.

In between in numbers are some to which Christians should pay attention, because they carry a valid criticism.
