Yes. I also think it's weird when people think that talking snakes, talking donkeys, and winged beings wielding swords riding around the sky in flaming chariots are so much more believable than a Minotaur.

That's the sort of argument a professor might give to a beginning class in biblical criticism in order for them to explain how the principle was being misapplied.

Very good point. Bill Maher once had a great skit about circumcision: "I would have wanted to be around when Moses first came up with this. There must have been somebody in the rooms saying, "ok, let's say if I get this right, so what you want us to do is..."

All religions sound like madness if you don't grow up with them.
