... and to think that once upon a time, many years ago, I got reprimanded in the Religion forum for saying that (doctrinally) Mohammed was supposed to have been illiterate to avoid Muslims having to deal with the fact that the Quran is obviously cobbled together from earlier sources.

He could have got access to those sources orally couldn't he?

I have always found Voltaire's Mahomet fascinating for its exposure of the awful truths behind great religious movers&shakers in general, even though it is avowedly aimed only to "Mahometanism"... and I am still waiting for the day in which the existence, or even the performance of such piece will become a mainstream trending topic in the Muslim world.

After French Mathematician "Pascal's Wager", to which:

Pascal's Wager assumes there's an afterlife, and assumes also there is some god or heaven, and that a person has a soul.
