Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

the GOD action figure...

just perfect for rounding out my collection of Jedis

That would be for Mormons. As far as I know they're the only ones who think God (the Father) is a man.

Quick quiz: if it was a Christian toy, what would be inside the plastic?

Hahahaha. This is a gem. I think Kul, our resident self-proclaimed Biblical scholar, has been taking logic lessons from this video.

In fact he would argue that his exposition of a saved rapist and murderer is not derived from the actual word of Christ, the peddled-out pick&choose version of the Mormon and the like, those who made up their own prohet and religion, as suggested in the video, but who claim to be followers of Christ.
What I like about the video is that they expose one of my favorite fundamental points about the necessity of a religion: that it is not any more or less necessary to simply lead a life than art or science... but that leads to the reason why there actually is such a thing as religion, even botched ones, and religion freaks: because there is a possibility and an inclination of people for thinking to life in broader terms than a "simple life" (without that necessary impliying a concept such as "afterlife" right away), but they are too lazy or just raised lazy to think of it in a more or less orderly way as the guy Darrel Ray or whatever is his name talking there, and they need to get it from someone else, who generally are power-hungry people with a big ego and an agenda of control.

I still miss him dwelling more on the point that, at least in the USA, you already have a whole legal system, from the Constitution and Bill of Rights down to your state laws, establishing the "limits" for society without the need of establishing a sort of sharia-based system as the Muslim may have, but having the Qur'an replaced by the Bible.
I would also have liked him to refer to the limits on greed that are not either stated in the Bible or followed when in comes to creating a dishonest capitalist bubble.

However, it doesn't matter if it comes from or it is sanctioned by an official religion followed by thousands or millions of people: most people will remain lazy and proud entities needing to hold to something they can throw as an excuse to hold themselves righteous against people that their own guts substituting their brains would be able to bear without that system of excuses. If you are ready to set yourself apart from others because you do not like and accept something they do, and you do not know how to react to it, there will always be a religion, a political ideology, or just some sort of anti-ism that can blow into either or both of them. If you consider reasoning not as an undending action and effort, but as a mere attribute or attribution, there we go...

lol. I like that one.

I just got done watching a south park episode. The boys were taken away from their parents and put in a foster home ran by agnostics. I thought this scene was pretty funny.
