Oh, damn, until NOW I couldn't read that tag thing as "zilla" after "God". It seemed odd that quoting the original quote would be anti-religious itself... which in fact it is, as all the fervent wackos who take God as an excuse to behave as crazy as a bunch of hipster fags high on speed in a foam party in the late 1990s.
Ok, I need some sleep... and maybe work more on the ADD thing or whatever that is.

There's actually a way to tell between that and actual prayer: actual prayer doesn't tell God what to do, or try to preach to other people. If you listen to most prayers from televangelists, they're meant for their listeners to pay attention to, and according to Jesus, that means they're not directed at God. Such prayers are indeed nothing more than self-gratification -- something Jesus pointed out rather plainly.
