I don't know what others would comment, but "belief" is simply the static, stony conviction that something is, is truly, and can never be or have been any other way, and "religious belief" simply seal it with the righteous stamp of a fancy realm beyond humanity centered on some superbeing beyond humanity.
As in other posts, that was just pretending to be too wise by considering plain, flat concepts as more than they actually are, thereby engaging in some sort of convolute, byzantine discussion :cool: :rolleyes:

But certain of the fundamentalist churches are not that way. They teach a philosophy that the individual must study the Bible and reach his own understanding. That is why you can have some churches accepting homosexuality and some not. Its why you can have a Westboro Baptist church because the individual congregations decide what is the truth and not a central church authority.

Any source that seriously quotes anything from the Apocalypse (Revelations) as though it's meant to be science has to be compiled by people determined to be deliberately ignorant. It's a joke.
