They forgot to mention islam is also the reason of 90% of circumcisions performed worldwide.

Most of the other 10% are in the US btw. More than 55% of American boys are still being circumcised for no good reason.

No, because there is a lot of evidence that circumcision does NOT prevent STIs. If it did, explain the following maps:

Note that islam is the reason for 90% of circumcisions, but that does not mean 90% of cut men are muslim: circumcision was once prevalent in many countries that have shed the custom in the past 50 years. In Australia, the rate has gone down from 85% in 1965 to 15% today. In the UK it has gone from 95% in 1945 to 5% today.

but those are trends, not controlled studies. what was the incidence accounting for the uneven prevalence (more of a contagious disease in one area automatically makes it easier for it to spread)? were people using condoms with equal frequency? using them the same way (correctly, hopefully)? how often did they have sex? with how many partners?
i doubt we have the same sexual customs and culture as the chinese.

to achieve statistical significance (thats how we prove things true or false), you need a large group of people who are as homogenous as possible, and then compare them. for instance, analyzing straight white men aged 20-30 of similar income within 1 state. or gay men. or black men. and so on. changing only 1 thing at a time (in this case, whether they were snipped or not).

That's the point: in the fight against aids, condoms work, cutting foreskins doesn't.

And believe me, you DO have the same sexual customs as the Chinese. Sex is an instinct. Our preferences may vary, but even the variation (like the rate of homosexuality, to name but one thing) is the same in all climates, cultures and eras.
