Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

I love that pic too... and I love seeing someone get owned so hard...

And yes, there is no evidence of any resurrection. Christians will turn around and say "but you have no proof to disprove that it never happened". It's the entire circular argument. They make claims, they don't back them up, but if anybody disputes those claims they demand proof. It's all hypocrisy.

And Kulin also claims that science isn't the only way to know things... oh yeah... care to provide some alternatives? Please don't say religion.

Well, you just managed to destroy the justice system. Happy?

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Trying to debate some of the people in this thread that attempt to defend their primitive superstitions only encourages them to believe that their position is rational and that their opinions and justifications are somehow plausible or valid. I think it's best we just ignore these posters and keep the blasphemy rolling. :-<

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Ok... so people can go to the Court system make false claims they can't back up, and expect others to dispute them? I guess police do it all the time lol. Yeah, the court system... kangaroo courts that is.

Just about every court decision ever made relies a good 9/10 on things that they can't "back up". The point is that we have ways of knowing things other than scientific investigation, and it's a good thing we do -- becuase very little of what people know comes from scientific investigation.

If we could only rely on scientific investigation, we'd have to throw out not just the court system, but almost all our news media as well, along with most of history.

I don't think they will feel challenged by that, especially while they have sacred sandwiches and stuff like that on their side.

The HUGE difference, Kul, is that all the decisions that can't be "backed up", at court, in science or in daily life, do not pretend to fundamentally "back up" themselves an absolute view of the world and what is right or wrong. Of course every- and anything, including science, can be manipulated to make those same claims, but only religions pick up any piece of fairytale or random fact or transmitted piece of info to make of it the foundation of absolute and healthy, right way of life, containing all the truths in itself.

BTW, I missed, from the very beginning, more jesusfuckingchrist-sort of pics that surely Kul finds totally devoid of wit and point... but I still think that the biggest anti-religious, and anti-Christian in particular, images are always provided by the self-proclaimed most fervent believers.

If Rick Perry could go back in time, that would probably be his pick -- as a Roman Procurator, just think of all the execution orders he could have signed!

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

kuli, trying to defend your personal religious beliefs in a thread making fun of the irrationality of religion makes you look pretty stupid. just saying.:p

I'm not trying to defend any beliefs, I'm opposing ignorance. For example, in the post above yours, it takes a real stretch of voluntary shutting down rational thought, and acceptance of ignorance, to get a laugh out of it. It's on par with the morons who act as though the Bible was delivered in King James English shortly before the American Revolution, and want nothing to do with having to think about the fact that it was actually written in a language painfully different in a culture very alien -- and that's the Greek part.

In the extravagant vaults of human knowledge there's but a pennybag of facts.

Kuli, the reasoning you use to laugh at young earth creationists' rejection of reality is the same reasoning the rest of the world uses to laugh at you for your religious beliefs.

Then they're idiots as bad as the young earth creationists -- because the reasoning isn't the same at all.
