Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

Maybe they have something against the Promise Keepers. Hey, they don't like "Catholic's" either.

wifebeaters, I can't stand them either, nothing to soak up the underarm sweat.

Re: Funny anti-religious Internet pics

I'd be very interested in reading more about the claims made in this pic. Does anyone have an article, book title, etc?

What do you mean "the claims made in this pic": that is common knowledge, we were told about it even by the priest we had in high school for religion (back in my youth days, almost everybody preferred that matter to "ethics", mainly because the former was easier to pass, but also because the contents of the latter were also delat with in philosophy).
The Gospels, the Apocryphal like the Canonical, bear the names of Apostles not because they were written by them, and it was all part of the era of the affirmation, intestine quarrels and persecutions by the Imperial regime. Likewise, the Apocalypse is not a purely Christian inspiration by the Christian god about something literally going to happen, but part of an old mystic, oriental tradition of prophetic lore related to end of the world, that the Christians shaped also in the same context I mentioned above, that of religious persecution by Roman power diffident of people who were setting themselves apart from the rules of the rest of society which, as always in those cases, it was more about one extremist part than the whole of Christian believers.

There was no reason to snap at me. I have only superficial knowledge of the development of the NT. I was aware of the information that I highlighted. All I wanted to do was learn more about it. This pic is my starting point.
