There's rumours floating about that they may be filming a DVD movie to tie up the loose ends, not heard much since the Terminator rights were put up for sale though!

i was refering to the picture a few posts further above. its a picture of glau, with mansons face photoshopped on, hence my "replacing" comment. i didnt realize manson actually appeared in the terminator series.

now, i know this is completely off topic, but how did glau not get a role in terminator salvation?

Ah I get it now, yeah that pic has been around a while, kinda a moot point when you see the show! :badgrin:

Shirley Manson, considering this was her first acting project, was brilliant!

Apparantly a lot of fans wanted Summer to have at least a cameo but the producers of both projects wanted to keep them as separate entities! ](*,)

Shirley Manson is awesome and I can't wait to hear new Garbage material! Her rendition of "Samson and Delilah" for T:SCC Season 2 opener was amazing!

The picture of the half Terminator was a model built for promotional posters, they replaced the Scuplted face with Summer Glau's for the posters etc, then someone has redone the whole thing by photoshopping Shirley's face instead.

True story - I got shouted at by her once.

Garbage/Placebo double-header at the old 3 Arts Arena in Cape Town, 1999. As Garbage get on the stage, 10 seconds into their opening track in the midst of stage smoke, drums and loads of lasers and other lights, someone in the crowd throws a bottle onto the side of the stage.

Manson throws a complete benny, stops the music, calls the 5000 of us in attendance every name under the sun and threatens first to cancel the show and then to get into the audience with her crew (and Placebo) and kill or at least seriously injure all of us. I understand nobody enjoys being pelted with bottles, and I have no idea why whoever it was threw the bottle, but to be fair it was nowhere near any of them.

Anyway, the show resumed although the atmosphere was kinda strained. 4 songs in she forgave us all and we had a blast.

Still, be threatened with murder/maiming by international rockstar? Check.

Shirley Manson teases of new Garbage album…

It’s been awhile since anyone’s seen the Madison, WI neo-grunge rockers, who proudly call themselves… Garbage. Their last record, 2005’s Bleed Like Me, brought some minor critical acclaim and a short stint at commercial success, but it also led to the band’s “indefinite hiatus” — never a great thing to end on. In fact, the last time anyone’s seen Shirley Manson (other than on your bedroom wall when you return to your folk’s place) was probably last year on Fox’s smart yet unsuccessful Terminator series, The Sarah Connor Chronicles. However, Manson’s leaving Hollywood and returning to her Midwestern roots, at least if we’re to take her Facebook seriously.

Yes, Manson’s on the FB, and just after the Grammys, she posted the following:

Guess who I just spent a week in the studio with?
Would you be pleased if I said one of them was called Steve and one of them was called Duke and another was a grammy winning producer?

If you’re familiar with the band, and not just Manson’s short-lived acting career, you’ll know she’s referring to Duke Erikson, Steve Marker and Butch Vig. Too early to tell, but perhaps it’s okay to say: Garbage is back?

We’ll keep you in “the know”, folks.

The first video I saw and the one that hooked me forever. I had heard of Garbage but had no idea what I was in for.

I love that one too. Is it full of symbolism? And if so what does it all mean? Or does it all symbolize nothing. It's so intriguing.
So many of her videos are puzzling to me. She is mesmerizing.

Manson Defends Twilight Star Stewart

SHIRLEY MANSON is pleading with fans to stop taking aim at awkward TWILIGHT star KRISTEN STEWART - because the actress reminds the rocker of her teenage self.

Stewart, who plays Twilight's heroine Bella Swan, is often criticised for her sullen demeanour and refusal to court the press, but Manson has defended the star, insisting she is the "best thing" about the hit vampire franchise.

The Garbage singer has taken to her page on social networking website Facebook.com to praise the star.

In a post entitled "Total Eclipse of the Heart!", she writes: "Why are people so turned off by Kristen Stewart?!?!?! I don't get it. I think she's the best thing about the entire Twilight franchise. Absolutely. She's delicious to look at.

"She's a talented actress. (I don't care what anyone else has to say about her acting because I think she behaves EXACTLY the way me and all my pals did around that age of the character she is playing so THERE!) AND she's articulate. And she's a little shy. And clearly very thoughtful. What's not to love?"

And Manson has urged critics to be more accepting of other stars, who may not fit in with Hollywood stereotypes.

She adds: "I hate it when she (Stewart) gets trashed. It hurts my teenage self. And it annoys me that everyone laughs at her sullen portrayal of Bella. What the hell do they want from her? For her to ponce around like a so called normal teenager and smile a little more, no doubt. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr….
