Understood, Kingkhan. However, there are a few things I'd like to say.

Again, understood. You probably have not seen many asians before when you were younger, and you probably don't see many of them now; our specific racial features probably do not register sexually in your mind because of other racial features that you were probably more exposed to as you grew up (which I can bet were probably that of Caucasians).

But do you realize that you are doing just that to asian guys? If you think it's horrible how certain races are being sexually percieved differently from others (that, according to you), shouldn't you take the first step and put effort into altering your own perception?

I kind of only feel this way with guys . With women race does not matter at all, I have preferences but it does not matter but, then again I have more feelings towards women, like love so that overrides any kind of preconceived notion of beauty portrayed in society.

And fwiw out of the 4 guys I have j/o with one of them was asian and I was not repulsed by him at all, I really enjoyed the time I had with him I would have wanted to do it some more with him but, he was kind of rushing more to do more and so he broke it off after one meeting.

And why do we complain about the existance of it? Because this is like the 4th or so thread about the EXACT SAME TOPIC in the last few months! If there is a new point to be discussed about racism in the gay community, I'm all for it. If the exact same thread is about to be rehashed for the 5 billionth time in a short span of time it just gets annoying. Bump one of the old threads, you're going to see the exact same opinions by the exact same members in it.

C. I already stated my opinion on the matter (which, to give a short summary of is: racism in any form sucks) in one of the threads on this matter. It'd have been easier for you to see that if somebody bumped one of the old ones instead of starting another new one.

Also, do you not notice how many countless topics come up again and again throughout the history on this board? For a span of a few months, 4 threads regarding racial issues sounds reasonable enough to me.

And while I haven't been here for a long time until just a few days ago, I can almost bet that these four other topics were not quite the same as what we're discussing now. Unless you like to refer me to those specific topics.

Why are you reading it then?

Any thread can be re-hashed for five-billion times.

Bump one of the old threads, you're going to see the exact same opinions by the exact same members in it.

Then you just simply have to not open the thread. And if you're interested in the topic, you would naturally look for the newer members' opinions.

lol this brings back memories. I'm Asian and whilst there is a sexual hierarchy with asians at the bottom, I have been with a few guys. Subconsciously I'm not used to receiving this kind of attention seeing as asian men are all desexualised in the media. I've actually asked my previous lovers why they fancied me and all of them couldn't really answer the question. After all they've been raised in an environment that doesn't view asians as sexually desirable so why? I may be fretting over nothing but I think their responses could be linked, one way or another, to the other men who don't fancy asians full stop.

It makes me sad for people to think that "asian" is a fetish. Hell I have a hard enough time defining it as a ethnic food. Saying asian fetish is like saying black fetish. Wrap that up with the be mean to old people tone and i just feel that we don't need that around these parts. IMHO

That is percisely the reason I PMed Shepard, because aparently, "old farts" have a category of their own.

If an asian guy were to express disappointment for the ill-perception of the asian race in sex culture, he has no right to call a middle-age or old-age guy an "old fart" because now he himself is creating an ill-perception of middle-age and old-age people. As Shepard put it, it's compounding bigotry. (Actually, I don't necessarily agree with the word "bigotry", because in this situation, that's a pretty strong word, but that is another topic of it's own). And I call that hipocrisy.

4 threads=clutter? This "If it doesn't affect me it's clutter" attitude is dangeous in any facet. It promotes ignorant and division. This may be an old song to you, but some people are painfully unaware of these things.

Asking for a forum to be tidy and having ideas that share a common theme in a common location does not promote ignorance in any way. To suggest that is actually laughable. In fact, having issues that share a common theme together actually helps fight against ignorance since it provides an easier format with which to study the opinions offered.

That can be said about 99% of the threads on this site. Bring me any topic, I can find an old thread that "should've been bumped, probably some that you participate in.

On just the first page of your thread history, a good half of the topics could've been bumped old-ones instead of starting new ones.

Right, as as I have already said, I get annoyed at the other topics that pop up frequently as well, but this one seems to be one of the worst. I loathe repeating myself.

Haha. As I already said, if you read any of the other threads I supported the minorities. I honestly can't believe you're trying to make this out as racist because I want to have the topics consolidated for EASIER for LONG TERM reading and discussion (IE making it easier for LONG TERM useful discussion to support the minorities).
