Gay Doctor murdered in West Hollywood

Shame on you for making personal attacks on me. But then again, that's your modus operandi.

I posed valid questions. I want to know why this story was not covered widely, at least by the lgbt media. And yes, I stand by my view that stories that bring negative attention to the gay community are simply suppressed by the lgbt media out of fear that it will make us look bad to straight people (when we are waging a PR campaign for legalizing same-sex marriage). That's why stories about domestic violence within the gay community are usually ignored.

I don't need your permission for my political views. Last time I checked, I'm free to be a Republican if I so choose. About 25% of gay men are Republicans, so I'm clearly not alone.

Like MakeDigitalLove wrote, that has nothing to do with your original post. This isn't about an isolated event of domestic violence. This is about you insulting other racial minorities and slipping in partisan bullshit that has nothing to do with the actual news story. If this was an isolated incident, you'd get a pass by the community. However, most of us have read your threads and posts, and we've pegged your habitually disturbed posting behavior.

Unless the murder is somehow representative of the gay, Black, or Asian groups, there IS no larger story.

Domestic violence occurs across the spectrum -- in gays, straights, tea party, Libertarians, farmers, profligates, ghetto, elite, and every other subgroup.

However, you are correct about all media outlets controlling and censuring the content due to their agendas, and that also runs the gamut from PBS to NPR to Fox to NBC.

The murder was a horrible tragedy. That is the story. If they reduced the killer to just a race, then that is also a valid observation.

Is it typical of gay couples? Obviously no.

The idea that Nicole Brown Simpson was more covered because she was white is a hoot. She was covered because a front-page celebrity murdered her, allegedly. If Bill Cosby had murdered his wife, there would be no less sensationalism.

Yeah, allegedly..... OJ is definitely innocent. Lol.

And this.

I'm sure that somewhere in the US, over the last few months, an Indian immigrant probably killed his wife or girlfriend as a result of a domestic dispute.

I don't see you or any other national outlet reporting on it.

It says nothing. About anything.

Except that it is a personal tragedy.

Well there should have been more coverage of that, then.

There were seventeen gunshot deaths in Chicago last night. Black? white? Indigenous American? gay? straight? Not relevant. Tragic, nonetheless. Knowing their sexual orientation or ethnicity doesn't make them any less dead.

Why don't you call the Associated Press and complain? No one here can do anything. What about the California bus crash? Don't forget Flight 370. There's only so much time/or space for reporting anything.

 What is this metal thing outside the murder scene? is it some kind of radio antenna? Or perhaps some excess window frames?

I hope some deluded hipster doesn't think this lop-sided metal thing is 'artistic' or an ornament to the building.

Pat, it appears to be ornamental to me. It doesn't look like it's attached to the structure of the building..

I found an article about Dr. Ma written 4 years ago in the New York Times. It's a story about how a man became really sick after eating barracuda during a trip to the Caribbean but no doctors were able to figure it out, until Dr. Ma recognized it was a rare type of food poisoining called ciguatera poisoning.

Dr. Kurtland Ma found the young man lying on the stretcher in the quiet of the predawn night. He was surprised by how healthy the patient looked: he had learned over the first year of his residency training that those who came to the Jacobi Medical Center emergency room in the Bronx at that hour were often the very sickest patients.

Dr. Ma was taking notes as the patient told his story, but when he mentioned this strange reversal of hot and cold, the doctor gasped. “I know what this is!” he shouted, interrupting the patient’s story. “I know what this is!” And with that he ran down the crowded hallway to where the attending physician and senior resident were sitting. “He doesn’t need a head CT! He has ciguatera poisoning.”

Dr. Ma's funeral is today in Phoenix, AZ, where he grew up. RIP.

Seen this movie already...

Frankly I'm surprized, given human nature, that this kind of thing isn't a whole lot more common among gay men.
