Okay but all of you (well a great many of you) are getting bogged down in labels. How a person seems HIMSELF and how that person SELF-IDENTIFIES defines what "catagory" he falls into. And you are all also falling into the Hetero thinking of very strict catagories -GAY-STRAIGHT-BI- and that there can be no grey areas. Everything must fit neatly into ONE of the catagories. In reality, sexuality, sexual response, and arousal all are a million shades of grey. (Look at Kinsey's scale 0-6). I was told during grad classes in psych that men can have an erection while being attacked and this can lead to a man being "raped" by a woman- i.e.- forced to have intercourse against his will. I label myself GAY even though I am the father of two children. I am NOT bisexual, because that would imply that I actively seek out women as well as men for sexual experiences and relationships. I don't. I obviously can function sexually with a woman because I am a Dad twice over. But that doesn't make me straight either. Some on this thread feel that if you have had sex with another man you are gay or at least bi. Does that mean that if a "gay" man has sex with a woman he is straight or at least bi? NO. That is ridiculous thinking. As for the "Gay for Pay" issue: I agree with the "forbidden fruit" theory. As we grew up, how many of us lusted after the Captain of the Football team or the Star of the Baseball team? He was a fantasy most of us never were able to attain. He also may have represented, as the hyper-masculine men in some porno (Colt models for example), someone we wished we could be.
I am seeing, from the guys in HS and college now, some shift towards being more open about sex and sexual expression. Straight guys will not have sex with men. If your theory was true, you could offer the amount that these guys get paid (anywhere from 250 - 4,000) to any straight guy and he will put out.

Could you please be so kind and explain to me as to how homophobia has anything to do with this discussion? Do you even realize what you are saying? Do you even understand the concept of the idea you are trying to get across? C’mon now, straight men do not have sex with other men for money, regardless of the amount of money there may be at hand.
