Re: Gay Gamers

Any horror game grabs my attention - - especially Fatal Frame and Silent Hill. Resident Evil too, even though it had a recent change of direction with 4.

Right now I'm wasting my life away with Oblivion on the 360. The Dark Brotherhood guild is wicked crazy.

Exactly the same here. Horror anything is my favorite (books, movies, games) so I love all of that stuff.

Oblivion on the 360 got annoying because of it having to load something every three seconds. But it's still the second best looking game on the console. I got a few hours in before I sold it, lol.

Re: Gay Gamers

Damn I posted in a old thread. I did not even see this one. !oops!

I've been playing PC games for as long as I can remember starting with Wizardry on an state of the art 8086. Mostly I play Multi-Player games with a pinch of SP mixed in.

MP
Battlefield 2 and 2142
UT04 waiting for UT 2007
Return to Castle Wolfenstein (mainly with old clan mates)

SP
Half-Life 2
Oblivion (man this is a long game)
Dark Messiah
Never Winter Nights 2 (just started this with my bf)

Anyway glad to see that there are other gaymers here.

Re: Gay Gamers

I collect more than I play but I still game (yes, at my age). Currently enjoying Resistance: FOM on the PS3. Didn't like it at first but it just keeps getting better and better in every respect. Also trying to keep my eyeballs in my sockets over Motorstorm - eye popping stuff! Truly next gen looks. Pity there's no multiplayer of any description but it's a damn fine game nonetheless.

Yah, RFOM is a great shooter! I really enjoyed that game a lot. :D Too bad it's the only decent game that the PS3 currently has. *sigh*

I suppose it's just as well at the moment. I've got so many games to play on the 360 and the Wii that if there were more good games for the PS3 out right now, I'd be in real trouble!

I'm looking forward to Lair and Heavenly Sword for the PS3, but I never trust release dates for games. If you look at the pending dates for the PS3, there's a shitload of games due out in March, but I highly doubt they'll all actually get released then. Some of them will prolly get delayed. #-o

And again I'll say that anyone who likes shooters and has a 360 should check out the free multiplayer demo for Lost Planet. I've been playing it all weekend long and having a blast. I can't wait for the full game to come out next week so I can see what the other levels/maps are like. :-)

The thought of next-gen horror makes me giggly. The graphics of GoW plus some scary shit like Fatal Frame should take away my capacity to eat for ages.

Re: Gay Gamers

Am a big fan of games especially action, strategy and RPG. I'm hooked with the series Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors. And also FFX & FFXII.
Currently playing Hero Online, which is an action RPG based on ancient China setting.

Re: Gay Gamers

I recently beat Twilight Princess and I must say it was one of, it not the best Zelda game of the series.

Yay for Zelda! It's my all time fave game series. It's just sooo much fun to play those games (and, of course, it helps that Link is haaaawt)!

I'm almost done with Twilight Princess. I'm in the Twilight Palace now, so I'm getting there, and I would have to say I think that this will be my fave of the Zelda games (unless something radically changes between now and the end of the game for me).

Ocarina of Time was my previous fave, but I think Twilight actually beats it out. I didn't think that would be possible, so my hat's off to Nintendo! :-)

Gabe2006: did you get all the pieces of heart and find all the poes in the game? You're not a real Zelda fan unless you do that, you know. *grin* ;)

Re: Gay Gamers

Haha. I hate how they seem to be ignoring/taking their time with BOTH of those games. They seem to invest much more energy into their Warcraft series. I've always liked Starcraft/Diablo way better and thought of Warcraft as a cheap hybrid of those two games.

Same here...but in all fairness. Warcraft was there very first game into the Real time strategy market. Everybody seems to be going nuts for World of Warcraft. But I think it's been done to death. They made the horde into good guys. The Scourge are defeated. Now they got some underwater fishmen trying to take over the surface?! COME ON GUYS!! You made the ending of Starcraft a cliff hanger!! I can't even explain how Diablo 2 ends cause it doesn't make sense to me! :)

On a brighter note, I am looking forward to Command & Conquer 3 from Westwood games (which was bought out by EA games.)

Re: Gay Gamers

haha me mates love guitar hero... i myself havent been much affected by the fever though... I guess the games ive been playin the most are Halo 1 and 2 (best game... EVER), gears of war, dinoe crisis 2, warcraft III, and the Diablo expansion... but yeah love most types o games... CRASHBASH! man thats fun... and um, singstar's cool too :D.

Re: Gay Gamers

Heh, Diablo had kind of a...strange ending.

Basically, the world stone, which controlled the fate of the world, was so corrupted that Tyreal had do destroy it. They didn't really explain how destroying the world stone would actually affect the world, though. The thing that bothered me was that the cinematics seem totally unrelated to the freaking game itself!

Yeah the cinematics where based on the old crazy guy at the beginning of the game telling the story to (you know who...don't want to spoil it for anybody who hasn't played the game yet!) but your character was oh I don't know...it was strange! :) Yeah, Tyreal said that he'd have to destroy the stone and the world might end but that as a personal favour he was going to send you to another world where you would be safe....except that other world just so happens to be the beginning of the game again! :)

It was like, is my character stuck in a time warp??? Doomed to keep repeating his journeys over and over again? I little video ending showing my character living on some other world or plane would have been nice instead of showing the asylum being burned to the ground! wait. That's the ending for Diablo 2. Trying to rememeber how the expansion ends? I don't think there was a video at the end of it. Damn it! It's been so long since I played that game! :)

Re: Gay Gamers

The expansion ends with Tyreal destroying the worldstone in some quasi-powerful cinematic that actually bores the hell out of me.

The old guy, aka Marius is not the same as your character, from what I've gathered. He's some random schmuck who fucks up by removing one of the Soulstones from Tal Rasha's chest. The thing is, the don't tell you which Soulstone it is! You assume it's Baal's based on the storyline, but then what the fuck do they do with it? Shouldn't they destroy it like your character does with Mephisto's? SUCH AMBIGUITY; I CANNOT LIVE WITHOUT THESE ANSWERS!

In any event, I just love that cinematic where Marius takes the soulstone. Not only is it visually awesome, but Tyreal chokes the guy or some shit. Haha, so much for being an angel.

Wow, and now I feel sufficiently nerdy.

nothing wrong with being a nerdy RazorzEdge88! (*8*)

Hell it's not a name...it's a lifestyle! :D Long live D&D!

Re: Gay Gamers

I'm a pretty big gamer, my favorites being RPG's, Survival Horror, and Action games. I've mainly been playing alot of Xbox live games recently, like Dead or Alive 4, Rainbow Six, and Tony Hawk. I'll probably buy a Wii too if I could ever find one anywhere. Feel free to add me on Xbox live if you want to play sometime.

Re: Gay Gamers

Timesplitters is awesome! Now that's a great 4 player game offline! There so much that you can do in that game it's totally unbelievable! I just wish they make a new version for Xbox 360 since the old one is not BC!! :(

Hey Ryan13th! make sure to put your gamer tag in the "Atten: Xbox 360 owners" thread too. That's were most of us have our gamer tags.

I'm chiefly an RPG guy, but I like to mix it up every so often with an adventure-RPG hybrid like X-Men Legends or something completely different and creative liek Katamari Damacy.

Re: Gamers

I'm mostly rpg/strategy rpg as well, but I also love puzzle games and survival horror like resident evil (kinda its own genre lol)
