Re: Gamers

I'm chiefly an RPG guy, but I like to mix it up every so often with an adventure-RPG hybrid like X-Men Legends or something completely different and creative liek Katamari Damacy.

I LOVE Katamari! But not as much as the Space Channel 5 franchise.

Re: Gamers

Kingdom Hearts is great. Which one are you playing? The sequel is even better in my opinion.

Re: Gamers

I'm a gamer, I mostly play Simulation games, First Person Shooter games, Adventure, Survival Horror games.

The Sims 2
Quake III Arena
Half-Life 2
Tomb Raider Legends
Resident Evil
Silent Hill

Re: Gamers

The first one, but I plan to get the 2nd one as well.

I think I'm still in the beginning of the story, as I've only just finished the Tarzan level.

Kingdom Hearts was a bitch to beat. Be sure to contact me if you have any problems with it. Luckily, the sequel was less complicated. The only complaint I have with it was the number of cut scenes. OMG, I couldn't play that game for 2 minutes without a cut scene popping up.

Re: Gamers

Rpg/Strategy gamer somtimes one on one fighting games to and I only play racing games that I can blow up the other player lol

Suikoden, Final Fantasy, Brigandine, Mortal Kombat, Tekken, but at the moment Im going a little old school starting Super Mario Rpg again and I just finished Mystic Quest... I've always found replaying a game is more fun than first time thro but I guess I'm wierd like that

Re: Gamers

I always liked a game called Petz, it had a wonderful community of forums and places you could "adopt" and trade pets, there were even ways to mod or hexedit the eight or so breeds that came with the program to look like completely different beeds. You could breed them and teach them tricks and feed them; it definitely tamed my craving for a dog for a few years :) They had Catz and Dogz version from 1-5 and then I guess went out of business. Of course I wouldn't be caught dead playing it now ;)

Re: Gamers

Cool, thank you! I wish I had known the other day, because I was doing something wrong and couldn't move on in the Tarzan jungle stage, or worse, kept falling while swinging from the vines and had to start over.

I am kinda irked that some of my least favorite Disney movies are featured so far, but seeing Maleficent and Oogie Boogie in a cutscene hopefully means it'll get better.

I have a link to give you. This website is extremely helpful in playing Kingdom Hearts. http://www.bellaonline.com/gaming/strategy_lib_khwalk.html I noticed you mentioned Oogie Boogie, which brings me to some bad news. Since you're still in the jungle, you won't be meeting any Nightmare Before Christmas characters for a VERY long time.

Re: Gamers

please i'm into all kinds of games. i just got from playing my gamecube a few minutes ago. was playing WoW last night as well. But i enjoy RPGs (a LOT), shooters, survival horror (RE, Alone in the Dark), adventure, action even puzzle and strategy games as well.

yeah i'm a nerd and proud of it. ..| ..|

Re: Gamers

true that it isnt and I don't plan on changing that fact anytime soon. ;)

KH was the first game that actually got my hubby sucked in. He'd love to watch me play it. I'm usually the type that likes to try to get 100% completion in RPGs if I can.
I remember wanting to pull my hair out trying to beat the optional boss Sephiroth in the arena. When I finally did after like 25 tries, I just ran around the house for a minute or so rejoicing. :)

Re: Gamers

I got that game last year and still haven't figured out how to play it right! LOL

Even worse, somebody got me "Sims 2: Pets" this past Xmas and it's still unplayed - but I did get one of those "Brady" game books or whatever they're called for S2P, and will have to read it over.

The instruction books that came with both S2 and S2P are equally vague and don't tell you shit. :grrr: ](*,)

I'm referring to the Playstation 2 versions, by the way.

I like the PC versions better than the console versions because in the PC version you don't have to play missions and stuff, you can just live out your life without having to do things like the console version does.

But bad thing with the PC version is that you need to have a really kick ass computer to run the games or else they'll lag.

Re: Gamers

I mainly play RPG's (Final Fantasy, Star Ocean, Xenogears) when I have the chance, but I do like adventure games (Zelda, Champions of Norath, Kingdom Hearts) and some fighting games (Virtua Fighter). On occasion I'll play racing games (Gran Turismo).

Re: Gamers

I like almost every genre of game, epcept puzzles.
I love halo2/gears of war, and am currently Playing
NBA 2k7 and Zelda:Twilight Princess

Yeah same here. I bought the Sims 2 the day it came out (counted down from three months before I bought it) and haven't played for more than a couple hours simply because none of my three computers can handle it. Even when I upgraded to a laptop that didn't work.

Now I plan on getting a Macbook Pro, so I KNOW it won't work, lol.

I'm playing those exact same games at the moment. I'm almost done with Zelda. No clue what I'll play when I beat it.

If your an Rpg/adventure type of guy may I suggest playing Suikoden 1, 2, 4, or 5
(dont play 3 cuz it kinda sux and Suikoden Tactics its alrite) Its an awesome game! :D

Re: Gamers

I started with RTS and progressed to RPG, but now I am definitely mostly into FPS and TPS games.

Re: Gamers

Ah, I hated Kingdom Hearts II. Granted, I did eventually just give up with it.

To me it seemed too much like the first one, with you travelling between random worlds and going on pointless side-quests for no reason at all. The actual plot of the game was so spread out between stupid mini-games that I couldn't even follow it.

Though a friend did tell me that it doesn't really get into the game story until later on, so I may end up giving it another shot sometime.

At the moment I'm working my way through FFXII and loving it. :)

Loving FFXII? Really. I HATED that damn game. It was one of the single most boring RPG experiences ever. I'd rather sit through the 2 hour long cinemas of Xenosaga. I just couldn't get into the story of FFXII. It was way too political, and I felt it needed to invovle the characters more. I have played each and every FF and loved them all, even the retarded X-2, and I kind of liked FFXI. This is the first one that left me utterly bored. I think I had more fun with FFXI, and that was pretty damn boring.
