Gay Kingdom on Tyra

How do you claim bisexuals can't pick a side and then earlier say bi guys are all gay in denial Jason?

So which is it?

I'm just being a douche.

Quite honestly.. and I've said this before... I just think (from past experience) that most "bi" men are just saying it.. the rest really are and get a very undeserved bad name because of it.

Plus, the only two roles who were not degrading for the person were that of King and Queen.

And it's really sad that members of our own community will choose the traditional, non threatening members (for the straight world) of our community (the masc. gay guy and feminine lesbian) for those roles. Specially considering that those two representatives were pretty much as persons without integrity, the worse of the bunch.:mad:

I don't agree that Tyra is doing any harm or that the gays on television were being put in a bad light. I think a lot of gays aren't comfortable when gay people are on television when it's not in a gay environment.

The gays on the show ran the gamut, so I'm not sure how that amounts to a stereotype. How many more types of gays do you know?

Also: Bashing the bisexuals is really getting OLD. Regardless of your feelings about the matter- not all bisexual men are really gay men trying to pass as bi. And the 'greedy' and 'confused' arguments are just as played out.
Let them be who they want to be. The same courtesy we demand of others.

This Right here.

It's really funny how some gays bash the Bisexual's I mean aren't they doing the same thing Straight people do to us?

I have ambivalent feelings about this show, but anyways...

I think that the butch lesbian, the transgender, and the drag queen stood above the rest, even though they had their own prejudices to deal with.
The masculine gay, I thought, was the worst. It sounds like he hangs out with a very small group of small-minded people.
As for bisexuality, I do think that a significant number of "bi's" label themselves as such as a stepping stone to saying they're gay, which is detrimental to real bisexuals. Those gays that change their label like that just need to grow a pair and come out for real. Falsely representing bisexuals is only harmful to other members of the community.

I just wish Tyra had spent more time depicting what they had in common, rather than giving a small blurb at the end of the show about them acting like a community.

Seemed like the drag queen should have been the king. Hedda Lettuce lead almost every discussion and called for all the voting.

I think that the masc. gay did have one valid point when he was talking about drug abuse in the gay community as a way of dealing with stress of being gay in society. That said this whole show was disappointing.
