Gay Marriage & Illegal Immigration

So as I said with your remarks then you have no issue with someone flying the Nazi flag right?

Immigration reform will be done you are right. But there are going to be lots of people deported. Everytime I hear a raid has happened I feel great the whole day. Last year we deported 250 000 people we are underway to break that record. I feel great about that.

Deportations of illegal immigrants is fine. I never said I had anything against it. It will have no effect because the deportees will simply return the following day. But if it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling inside, then at least it serves a purpose.

Here in Chicago some of you may remember "Elvira Arellano" she was a illegal immigrant in a church here. In front of the church she had the Mexican flag in front. I along with many others contacted ICE many times throughout the month before she was deported.

We asked that she be deported. See she should be happy now. She will get to see many mexican flags where she is at. This is the land of the red white and blue many colors of people but one loyalty one flag.

WRONG. Zero tolerance is going into effect in many parts of the border. Its shown effective where used. What this means is when someone is caught comming in illegally they are not released they are put in jail for sometime and then turned back over.

The word gets out and they stay away.

BTW MOST US CITIZENS ARE FLAG WAVING CHEST THUMPING PEOPLE. WE LOVE OUR COUNTRY. THIS IS THE USA NOT GERMANY NOT MEXICO NOT SPAIN OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY---ITS THE USA RED WHITE AND BLUE.

I actually do not doubt that. This is the most jingoistic country I have ever encountered. It makes me laugh, actually. As I said in an earlier post, however, while you guys are busy waving flags and thumping your chests, the rest of the world will be passing you by in greatness.

I have read about her. I resent her attempt to use her son as an excuse to stay in the country. I have no sympathy for her, as she strikes me as unrepentant opportunist.

You think so? Really?

When given the only option of being able to take care of their loved ones they are going to give that up because they spent a few days in jail? You really think so?

You have never been dirt poor and desperate, have you? You have ever met anyone who has, have you?

I have seen illegal immigrants that were at marches that I think should be on the road to citizenship. People who were wearing shirts with the US flag on them flying the US flag and carrying signs that said " I love the USA" but these where not the norm.

Some of you live in a fairytale world where everything is just fine. I do not like war and do not agree with the one we are in now. But if we have to kick another countrys ass we need to make sure the people here are willing to defend it.

Mexico is a friend right now. If a conflict breaks out over water and we have to kick mexicos ass over water rights will these people defend the USA?

That is why "country" is important. Its not saying we are better then anyone its also not saying we should not help other countries.

But WE the USA come first here in our our own home country. I think the foreign flag waving is a indication of something bigger.

When you come here legally and are loyal to the USA I do not think of that person as a "foreigner" I think of him-her as my fellow US citizen.

When that same person has a foreign flag then yes they are a foreigner because its "them" and then its "us". And "they" are in "our " country.

Diversity is great but it can be taken too far and what you want is lack of national ID where the USA is really not the USA but seperate people who have seperate loyalty.

A country is not just land its the people in it.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

YEAH! How dare they not stick around and live in poverty. How dare they seek work and try to survive instead of waste away hungry and jobless in this failing economy! Jokes aside, if they came for work, wouldn't they have a right to leave if they can't find it? You seem to have this weird complex about the door only opening once, and only to those who you deem worthy.

You do not wanna get me started on how this country was built. It was STOLEN, then built to support rich white men while women were viewed as inferior and blacks were fewed as slaves. Were you taught that the country was politely handed over to us, then we built this shiny Eutopia and welcomed everyone, only shutting the doors when we got too populated??

Stolen stolen from who? Stolen from the Natives? On my moms side she is half Huron ( A tribe that covered the Northern part of the USA as well as southern Canada). You can not seem to get off the past. I do not know if its because you like to play the victim so people can feel bad for you or what?

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

It's not that I can't get off the past, its that you refuse to acknowledge it. Your pride in America comes at the expense of ignoring the MANY wrongdoings and poor practices of our country. I'm not saying we're trash, but we're hardly the fantasy system you seem to believe us to be. Our government is corrupt, our people are starving and falling into poverty at unbelievable rates, and instead of welcoming in a group of people who are willing to do the work we're "too good" to do, you're worried about who's flag they raise.

The irony is, you're strongly opposed to everything America is SUPPOSED to be about.

You constantly use America's good deeds to paint over things like women's lib, the civil rights act we were FORCED to enact, slavery, theft, murder, and genocide that have all been traditions in this country. We're no better than anyone else and no one has a right to say who can raise what flag and who should be allowed just because they were born here.

On the issue of the flag then you support the Nazi and Confederate flag right? They have that right too. See I though we are 1 country 1 flag. Then I refuse to hear 1 more African American leader talk about poverty in inner cities.

Blacks get what they deserve if they support higher immigration levels and illegal immigration. You really do not understand the idea of the USA and if you hear Obama speak he talks about 1 people not seperate ones.

This is not a problem with me or other US citizens. This is a problem that you and others refuse to be a part of this country instead you want to be a seperate part of it. This is 1 country 1 flag.

Let me give a example. From my moms side I am part Native American. Do you know how the Natives where treated? You do not hear me crying though do you? You do not see me feeling sorry for myself or my people do you?

On my dads side they are all from Poland. I do nt fly the Polish flag or speak in Polish because I am a US citizen. Its not that people are afraid of new people its what these new people are acting like. Flying and being loyal to another nation is not what new citizens of a new country should be doing.

As for you the some of the biggest people hurt by illegal immigration are the black citizens of the USA. If the blacks in the USA support illegal immigration please do not complain "our people can not find work and things are not improving" because myself and others are not going to want to hear it.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

I think its extremely revealing that you equate other country's flags to Nazi and Confederate flags. BIIIIIG difference between the flag of your nattive country and the flag of people who tortured Jews and supported slavery, although apparently they're one in the same and equatable in your world.

What the hell do you mean "blacks get what they deserve?" That was so left field I couldn't possibly have caught it. I don't think YOU understand the idea of America since your America is void of any culture or heritage or recognition of diversity.

I dont think you understand that the USA IS a country again 1 FLAG 1 COUNTRY. This country is diverse and has culture its something I like. BUT NO COUNTRY NO FLAG SHOULD COME AHEAD OF THE USAs. THATS NOT WHAT IS BEING SEEN FROM ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS.

I take my other statements back. Its ok to fly other flags. I am going out and buy many confederate flags. After all it is part of the southern heritage and "culture" and its part of the USA. We are a divided people and thats the way we should be. Thanks for lettting me see.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

This circle is almost getting dizzying. In what was does waving someone else's flag disrespect America. Does flying a Chinese flag imply that "America sucks and China is the best? No. You're looking at this through childish, narrow-minded, my-way-or-the-highway sort of tainted, bigotted glasses. What is it precisely about raising someone else's flag that offends you? I simply cannot comprehend how another flag means they're saying their country is better than ours. It seems you need a job in management cuz you like making rules and guidelines for what makes someone a true American. You're what I'd call a "blind" American. You see America as this eutopia that only few are worthy of inhabiting. I'm a realistic American. I love where I live but I don't blindly ignore the flaws, and I don't have a "no girls (translate illegal immigrants) allowed" clubhouse mentality about the country like you do.

I don t think we are a perfect country. But what you support is a divided country. The flag is more then just a piece of cloth its the symbol of our country its our country ID. Its offensive because THIS is the USA not another country. There are just some things you do not do.

I am all for Irish flags at Irish day and Mexican flags at day of the dead. BUT. There is a time and place for them. You do not just fly a foreign flag outside your house like what happened in my neighborhood--it got torn down in the middle of the night.

You are either a part of this country or not. It is disrespect to fly another nations flag like some are doing in the illegal immigrant community. It sends a message they are loyal to where they came. Then they should stay there.

You just said it right here

"I simply cannot comprehend how another flag meansthey're saying their country is better than ours.

I see so its like I said. You like a divided country! Its "them" and then its "us". I like 1 country 1 flag but diversity i fine--you are just taking it too far.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

Why are you so afraid of other people's flags? You CANNOT disassociate that with anti-American sentiments. That's like saying eating chocolate means I'm anti-vanilla. It makes no sense and I think you'd be happier in a country with less freedom, more dictatorship, with people telling you what to where and when to eat. And what flag to raise. Your pro-American dialogue is extremely UNAmerican.

PS The flag in your avatar is cute and noticed, but it does nothing to prove your pont, it only shows the childish lengths you're willing to go to to prove a point that holds almost no logic.

Thanks. You know after careful thought I think you are right. As I said we are a divided country with many kinds of people. For me I am mostly white. So I am going to go with the flag that is most with white pride--the Confederate flag. This flag is a symbol of my pride in my heritage and my culture. Yes there are many things that whites have done wrong. But also many that they have done right including inventing every engine known to man, the computer you are on right now, the power going into it and most important things. The Confederate flag is symbol for me and many others I have read about of the cultural pride of whites. So please do not take offense. What is the problem with another flag in the USA?

I also have ordered one off ebay for the back of my car a little 2.00 sticker one. I am going with your way of thinking and I am not going to fly the US flag but that of my people--caucasians. Thanks for your opinion.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

Oak99, while you're playing the paranoid and scared white guy, you should go and vote for McCain too.

PS: I disown the confederate flag and any racist emblem.

Re: Gay marriage--my take on it

You might wanna study the history of the confederate flag before you designate it "the flag of your people" especially since you probably have no clue if your ancestors fought in the civil war or which side they fought on.

And be cautious carrying that flag, I know guys who were pulled out of their truck and beaten on the street for displaying their love for slavery, whoops I mean the Confederate flag.

Regarded by many as source of souther heritage and history, the flag has been co-opted by hate groups and has been used as a symbol of repression & violence against minorities, particularly the African-American community.

The confederate flag warrants a mountain of emotional response and I hope you're willing to defend it with your life (as you may one day have to) for the sake of spiting someone on JUB. You're more and more displaying a childishness that makes me wonder if you're truly reading my posts or only quote them as it presents the opportunity to support your sense of American superiority.

On a personal note, I respected you for posting honestly until this point, where you're purposefully employed offensive tactics out of spite.

So because someone else is offended by the flag I fly I should not? But if I and others are offended then we should what are you saying---pull them out of their trucks and beat the hell out of them?

Its not a racist emblem. It may be to you but to me and other whites its just a symbol of our pride of our people.

LMAO.

Whatever dude.

Wait wait. Aren't you from Texas? Were you the post that said he was voting for McCain now that Hillary is out?
