I play Dnd every week. Well sometimes we take a break and play Champions.

Hmm, this could be a thread after my own gay geek heart.

Comics-read em, Star Trek-love all of em (ok maybe not "Enterprise"), Lord of the Rings-know every line of dialogue by heart (read the books too when I was kid), Video games-play em (God of War 1, 2 & 3...best games ever), Conventions-Attend em.

Also love horror & fantasy.

Favorite shows of all time include; Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica (the new one mostly, but a place in my heart for the original too), Twilight Zone, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, X-Files, Smallville and Lost.

The Sci-Fi channel (will never call it SyFy) is almost always playing (except when that fucking wrestling is on, and I will never forgive them for canceling MST3K).

I also am a major nerd for Anime, "Bleach" is my current favorite, trying to catch up on "Naruto: Shippuden"

Aintitcoolnews, IGN and comicbookresources are among my favorite websites.

Not sure of it counts but I am also a HUGE music geek.

Your boyfriends love of Superman can't hold a candle to mine, I have room thats practically a shrine to the Last son of Krypton.

I love Anime! my favorite is Fairy tail, Bleach, Naruto and my newest favorite Nuraihyon No Mago... Love it!

Oooh, a nerd thread! x] Comics I definitely read, and a lot of titles that I'm trying to keep up with: X-Men, Batman, Spider-Man, Generation: Hope, a little X-Factor, Red Robin, and a bunch more to name a few. I've only recently started liking Star Trek after the newest movie came out recently, and I can sit and watch Star Wars over as well.

But hand me anything Vampire and Werewolf related and I'll probably read/watch it. Why I'm obsessed with blood-suckers and man-beasts...I dunno o.o But Twilight isn't really my forte. Used to be, but I got Twilight'd out...it should have stayed a book rather adapted to film >_<

And anime! ...they aren't showing any good ones I like, except for Bleach and I'm extremely behind, oh an Naruto. But again, I gotta catch up. I used to love watching Case Closed at 5 or 6 in the morning during the summer a few years back. Samurai Champloo, Ruroni Kenshin, InuYasha, Dragon Ball Z/GT, Ronin Warriors, Gundam Wing, Zoids, Paranoia Agent (was weird as hell, but I liked it) and that other anime where the girl always rode on the motor-scooter? And used her guitar as a weapon? I can't remember the name, but I have the outro song on my iPod... "Riding Shoot Star" I think the song's called. Baloomp! ;)

... Pretty long post, sorreh!

Comics
Currently Reading:
Red Robin (this boy needs to hook up with Kon-El already)
Everything involving the Young Avengers (Including Avengers: Children's Crusade, god I love these kids)
The Incredibly Hercules (Amadeus Cho is awesome!)
The New Avengers v2 (gotta have my fill of awkward Spider-man moments)

Anime:
I've been keeping up with Naruto for a long time. Full Metal Alchemist and FMA: Brotherhood will forever be on my top list. If you guys want to watch something funny, check out Tentai Senshi Sunred (it's pretty much a Power Rangers spoof).

Starkiller, you're last anime is FoolyCooly. Not my cup of tea but my brothers love it.

AS for myself, I watch/have watched many anime. Currents though are bleach, Fairy Tail, Naruto Shippuden, and One Piece. I don't really read comics but I try my best to keep up with the current happenings (hence my white lantern sinestro). But I love things involving superpowers, Heroes, No ordinary family, and the like.

Other things I like to geek out to are Star Trek, Star Wars, and Video Games. I'm currently playing Sengoku Basara Samurai heroes on ps3. But I like way to many games to list.

Gay geeks unite!

I love comics, video games, zombies... I'm a total geek :D

Ps, all you geeks should read the Scott Pilgrim books... I GUARANTEE you will love them!

The Scott Pilgrim film was my favorite film of 2010.

Comic book Wednesday tomorrow...whats on your pull list? Here's mine:

The Larfleeze Christmas special (If Geoff Johns writes it...I buy it)
Batman Inc. #2 (Morrison is kicking ass right now, I guess he's making up for Final Crisis)
Green Lantern Corps #55
Wonder Woman #605 (only because JMS is a genius, but I HATE HATE HATE the new costume)
Fantastic Four #586 (FF hasn't been the quirky brilliant since Byrne's run)
Invincible Iron Man #33
X-Men #6 (the only X book I buy right now)
Alan Moore's Neonomicon #3

Marvel has released an image of the villain for its "Fear Itself" event:

His little minion looks like Jaken (this a geek thread right? You should get that reference).

I suppose that it's obvious from my avatar what comic books I'm into. Yeah- I'm a geek who loves Superman, Superboy, and the whole DC comics thing! Anyttime you want to talk about Superman/boy comics, I'm your man/boy! Want to share comics, stories, pics, info, etc. just get in touch. ..|

Hey Superboy, did you happen to catch the pilot episode of "Young Justice" on Cartoon Network? It was fucking brilliant! I was hugely disapointed in the Teen Titans and Legion cartoon series so I was dubious on how YJ would be, but it was just so well written, paced, animated and voiced. It didn't hurt that Superboy was drawn as a stud ;).

I'm not a big comic book reader: my geekdom lies in Sci-fi TV shows:

Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
Mutant X
Xena: Warrior Princess
Battlestar Gallactica
Earth: Final Conflict
The 4400
Merlin
True Blood
Firefly
Dollhouse
Supernatural
etc.,

Then there's my love of anime, with Dragonball Z being my all-time favorite (SSJ2 Gohan, ftw!!!). I remember racing home after school to watch my two-hour Toonami anime block: Sailor Moon at 4, Ronin Warriors at 4:30, DBZ at 5, and Gundam Wing ending things off at 5:30. These days, I'm all about my Naruto: Shippuden.

Though I don't read much in the way of comics, I have been enjoying Neil Gaiman's Sandman series. I've also been working the Black Lantern saga from DC. I got a chance to read the reboot of the Superman story, Earth 1. I personally loved it. Has anyone else read it?

^ neoachiles (cool name, its a combo of Brad Pitt form "Troy" and Keanu Reeves from "The Matrix LOL) I agree with you about the hardcover graphic novel "Superman: Earth 1", it's friggin brilliant. It's also been such a huge success that they pulled JMS off the main Superman & Wonder Woman books so he can quick churn out a sequel. I love your TV choices I can tell your a Joss Whedon fan. At one point he was under contract to write and direct the Wonder Woman film but the powers that be at Warners didn't like the script he turned in so he left the project to somebody else. DC's loss is Marvels gain, he will direct "The Avengers" now.

I also dug Dragonball & Dragonball Z (wasn't a fan of GT though). You should check out Bleach if you liked that and Naruto.

I just saw an extended promo for "The Cape" show coming on NBC. It looks good but I'm afraid it may be a tad campy. I also am leary about its prospects considering how quickly NBC's last superhero series "Heroes" went from being one of the best shows on TV to near dreck in a very short period of time.

I didn't realize that Whedon was directing the Avengers movie. I am officially having a nerdgasm at this very moment. I effing love everything that he does. Now, I haven't been tuning into NBC much recently, but I have seen a couple of teasers for The Cape. I'm going to give it the benefit of the doubt, and check it out.

And thanks for the compliment on my name. ;)

Superboy, quick question. How do you feel about my (hehe) fellow Corp member Superman-prime?

I agree with CaptainMellow, Neoachilles. As a huge Dbz fan and general things that were on toonami, you should check out Bleach.

Tim and Conner do need to hook up for one good, intense...bong. Even if it's just once.

Starkiller, you're last anime is FoolyCooly. Not my cup of tea but my brothers love it.

Oh! Thanks! And yeah, I figured a lot of people didn't like it, it's pretty weird. And I also watched Tenchi Muyo when it aired years ago.

As for the Young Justice subject, all I can say is... I can't wait till January! But I am kind of disappointed they're using Dick Grayson and Wally West and treating them as Tim and Bart. I'd rather have the latter group, but for some reason DC's always using Dick for their animated Robins...bleh =/

I loved Tenchi Muyo! I just hated the way Cartoon Network just skipped from Muyo! to Universe right as the series was getting good. Personally, I always preferred Ryoko to Ayeka.

As awesome as Ryoko was, I always liked Washu better. And I thought Hotsuma was kinda hot when i first saw him. Lol

I always liked the dynamic between Ryoko and Washu as mother and daughter.

OOH Tenchi Muyo was a great anime! I loved Mihoshi for some reason...

90s anime was the golden age don't you guys think? Cowboy Bebop, Slayers, Tenchi Muyo, Evangelion... these are some of my favorite and most classic anime titles!

I love all things geeky!

My favourite comics at the moment are...
X-factor
American Vampire
Scarlett
Young Avengers: Children's crusade
Birds of Prey
Iron man
Captain America and
Osborn

My favourite anime are Death Note and Azu Manga Daioh (I know, you couldn't get more different) but I also love Lucky Star.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot Death Note. That along with Bleach were/are good...when I actually kept up with them >.< It's a shame Light went all postal =/

And speaking of comics, has anyone seen the teaser pics where Marvel's asking you "what do you fear?" There's a few of them, but only two of them actually caught my attention: One with Cyclops wearing Magneto's costume and the question being "Do you fear what you've become?" Another with Captiain America (Steve Rogers I believe) with his shield broken and shattered asking "Do you fear... a loss of faith?"

And there are others with Spider-Man and the Hulk, but again, only the first two stuck out to me. Pretty intriguing.
