I've been wondering... I'm curious of how many out there are GLBT and have a GLBT sibling and how many siblings they have total. I've got a younger sister who's a lesbian. There's a total of eight of us but the other six are all straight. It definitely helped in my coming out process. We gave each other the support we needed to tell the rest of the family. It made the whole thing a little less scary.

So does anyone else have a gay sibling? Did you come out at the same time?
 
I'm the youngest of four. While all my siblings are straight, I did have a sister admit to some experimentation.

Good topic btw, I'm interested to see how this one goes.

No all my "WONDERFUL OLD"sisters are straight but I do have a lesbian great niece!!

A couple of years ago I watched an Oprah program (yeah, I was not working so I had afternoons off).. anyway they portrayed a family from the MidWest...
I think there were 5 brothers and one or two sisters..... 4 of the 5 brothers were gay.

Back when I used to meet guys... well I was at the local place... and met this guy that went a highschool near mine... He was like 20 at the time.. he was there cruising with his younger brother.. both were gay.

That was strange to me... didn't realize at that time that being gay could run in families...

I wonder a bit about my younger sister, but we are not that close and we don't talk about that stuff in my family.
 
I'm number 12 out of 13 siblings (insert your joke here) all from the same mom and dad. I have a sister that is a total lesbian and my younger brother who is 7 years younger than myself is also gay and could very possibly be the anti-christ. My lesbian sister is a total bitch and while I was born completely out of the closet, really, they both had very tormented coming outs. Their life's have been full of turmoil and drama of their own making and I have not spoken to either one of them for over 14 years and do not intend on ever seeing them or having anything to do with them again.
 
I have no gay siblings, as far as I know.

Once I had a gay friend who's brother was also gay. I thought it was cool...
 
I have no gay siblings but I have 2 gay cousins who are my age. I just met one of them last month (I have like 70 cousins, I haven't even met them all) and thought he was hot as hell. Too bad we're cousins! haha

It's not like you'd have children together. :rolleyes:

Cousins or not, you could still get involved, sexually.....

But you'd be surprised how many guys, even on this forum, had their first sexual experience with a cousin....
 
The thought of having sex with him definitely turns me on but I don't think I would be able to go through with actually doing it.

But you do realize, don't you, that guys have sex all the time with others who don't really "turn them on" just to have sex?
 
There is four of us. Two boys, two girls. I am the second child, and gay. My baby sister is bi-sexual but she has been with her girlfriend for the last six years.:wave:
 
I'm second youngest of 7 kids and youngest of 5 boys.

All my siblings are happily married and have been for many, many years.
 
I have one younger sister (3 years) and she is lesbian. She moved away from home and had a girlfriend long before I officially came out of the closet, but it made it easier with the parents for sure.
 
I have two half brothers and two half sisters and all four are straight.
Older brother lives in Tenerife with his girlfriend, older sister has a long-term boyfriend and child (expecting another) and other older sister has had a boyfriend of about three years and younger brother is only 6.
 
Only one sibling. Older sister, just a year and a half between us. She did the straight marriage thing for a decade before she became a rug muncher. I suspected she might be gay way back when we were just entering our teen years. Gawd knows she's always been more butch than me... :rolleyes:
 
I am the youngest of 4 boys and 1 girl. I am the only one that is gay. I know of no one else in my family that is gay just me.
 
Middle child - older brother, younger sister. My brother has what you might call "gay traits" - very neat, well-developed fashion sense, sensitive. But he's straight. My sister also has "gay traits" - tomboy, drives a truck, works construction. And she did experiment with girls, but decided she really did prefer guys.

So I'd say there might be some tendencies running through the family, but I'm the only one it's fully formed in.

my sister's made out with girls, but that's just because she's dumb. :lol:

other than that I'm the only gay in my entire family (that I know of)
