You hear that? It's not clear cut, and many cases where SODOMY is the crime at hand, gays can get out of punishment. In the case of those boys, they either refused to repent, which was just stupid of them, or what I believe is more probable, and what probably happened, is they were made an example of by the system, to force Iran's gay population further underground. It was a political move, more than a matter of crime, and punishment.

And I would urge similar caution when visiting places like Jamaica or Nigeria. Both countries are full of beautiful black people, but can be deadly for gays. I've even heard of gay men being pursued by lynch mobs in Jamaica. Alright, first of all, you are WRONG again, Gayromeo, and Manjam, though NOT Manhunt are full of good human beings who are after more than an escort, sexdate, or the ocassional "play". It's good you are asking questions about the truth, or honesty behind the execution of those two boys in Iran, but you are still wrong in your assertion that the Iranian PRESIDENT said there are no gays in Iran, he never said it.

He said, and I repeat, "We don't have such a phenemonen, like in your country". That's not denying gays exist, it's ambigious at best, and it probably means our gays are not like your gays, meaning we don't have an open gay culture in Iran, which is true, but that's not the same argument over the actual existence of gay people, just an argument of how they are percieved in that country.

In America, they are well known, sometimes mocked, often ridiculed, but more, or less accepted. In Iran, they are underground, and live dangerously, and I think every Iranian, including the President is aware of it. They just don't like to talk about it pubically, and that's how Iranians deal with any issue of sexuality, they don't talk about it pubically. Behind closed doors, you'll hear lots of gossip.
