Gay Themed Movies

Hey.

I wanted to see a Gay themed movie. So list gay movies.
Write the name of the movies and what the movies are about. Also its genre.
And you can write like," The lead is hot*|* but the plot isn't that good[-X" and stuff.

I'm mostly after Drama, but comedy is good too.

I also liked "Save Me"

Priscilla was a great movie.

Still looking for the sequel to Another Gay Movie. Are movie stores are too uptight.





I have always liked Torch Song Trilogy. Common Ground is very good as well.

It's sorta a musical type thing. It was alright.

Latter Days and Beautiful Thing are two I've had for a while and love. Friends and Family is a pretty funny one.

Yeah, that's a good one. The Laramie Project and Bentare also a great if you feel like crying.

On top of everything else mentioned, there's also The Bubble and Yossi and Jagger(Eytan Fox's films) and No Regret, which is one of my favourites.
 
Some good suggestions so far.
I would add:
-- Lan Yu, a very good Chinese gay drama, truly one of the best gay-themed dramas I have seen : In the movie, Lan Yu (Liu Ye), an architecture student in desperate need of money, finds himself in the bed of successful businessman Chen Handong (Hu Jun). While Lan Yu falls in love, Chen tries his best to avoid emotional attachment, showering Lan Yu with expensive gifts and even getting married. However, as the years go by, Chen soon realizes that he cannot live without Lan Yu.

-- The earlier gay themed movie by Ang Lee, the director of Brokeback, is very good, though it is also a comedy: Wedding Banquet -- it is about a gay couple, consisting of a Chinese guy and an American who live in NYC. The Chinese guy's parents want to see him married, and so they stage a marriage with a girl who's his tenant.

-- Prick up Your Ears: Drama about the life of subversive gay playwright Joe Orton

-- Big Eden: about a middle aged artist who goes back to the small town where he was born

-- Chuecatown: crazy spanish comedy set in the gayborhood of Madrid

Mulligans (with my fav hottie Dan Payne)
 
I really wish Yossi and Jagger had been a longer movie... but it was still good.

I'm surprised at how many I have seen... Netflix really does have a decent selection of gay themed movies... I just got "Times have been better" in the mail today...I hope its good.

Just returned Fogi is a bastard, wasnt a big fan of it.
 
I've seen Latter Days, Shelter and Beautiful Thing.
Latter Days and Shelter were good but i didn't like Beautiful Thing. Shelter would've been perfect if it had more gay scenes, more "love scenes". Can't seem to find anything else, all trailers i've seen are bad, i think.
Hope i'll find one as good as Shelter but with more love scenes.
