An interesting story about a group of our community we don't think very often about. I can't imagine how hard it is to layer a disability on top of being gay.

Tim Wakeman, 58, left, and Bob Hedlund, 60, both gay and both with developmental disablities, walk in Meriden's Hubbard Park. Men and women in their situation find many stumbling blocks to healthy relationships, because of the care they are under and because of the extra layer of resistance from society. Wakeman and Hedlund have found some help from the Rainbow Support Group, started by a New Haven gay activist. (MARK MIRKO / November 11, 2007)

Yeah being attracted to guys and having MS is no picnic, interesting article.

They make a cute couple!:=D:
I have a straight friend that has cerebral palsy and he has such a hard time getting a date.People see the wheelchair first before they see the person.He's such a smart,funny,nice guy and he would make some girl very happy,if they would just give him a chance.Sad how shallow and small minded people are until it happens to them.:confused:

I have the feeling that they will get made fun of by the deranged guys from SomethingAwful.com, Luriddigs.com and B3ta.com.

I was "Cured" of Hep C but the treatment destroyed my body and now I am officially disabled with lots of mysterious ailments.

So everyone stay as healthy as you can :grrr:
