Listening to that was eerie, because I was in that space for years, back in my (deeply-indoctrinated) "sex is evil" period.

But how she can spout about a "gay agenda", or say that the "gay lifestyle" drives people to suicide... She needs to know that the "gay agenda" exists only in her fantasies, and that she is part of the reason that gays commit suicide -- not any "lifestyle".
I'd like to know where she gets the notion that gays "are going after two-year-olds, in schools". I don't know of anywhere that there are two-year-olds in schools in the first place! I'd also like to see any evidence that "kids' lives are being ruined" by getting involved in gay-straight alliance clubs -- do they end up crippled? do their grades suffer? do they fall into depression?do they get attracted to violence? If she ever sat in on one of those, in a high school, what she'd see is kids learning self-respect and to respect others -- you know, the sort of radical thing that arises from "all men are created equal".
She does have a valid point about gays having certain sex problems more commonly than the general population. What she fails to consider is the fact that if you select from the general population a sample of heterosexuals who take part in the same sexual activities, the differences disappears! So it isn't a gay problem, it's a problem of a pattern of sexual behavior.


Watching this sort of thing is torture for me: It rings concordantly with the part of me that still carries that indoctrination. That drives me to rehearse the facts, which she would call propaganda, including the facts about Holy Scripture (which she claims to honor). It's too bad that she has bought into the same blindness I lived in for so long, and neglects to investigate and learn.

As a recent transplant to Oklahoma (lowest cost of living in the states), all I can say is relax...these folks don't know their asses from their elbows. I have never lived in such a place of low expectations for logic and wit. Makes them easy to manipulate and control however.

That said, it is a lovely place that I live - safe, affordable, scenic...and hardly any competition for bagging the closeted guys here...

I don't care what a dumbfounded dipshit thinks about my sexuality. She would be shocked at what I thought of her's, however.

Actually, they are jumping all over it, but she's just digging in her heels more being that there's quite a lot of people in this country that agree with what she's saying. Fox News is all but turning her into a martyr as we speak.
