"General Hospital" DOES NOT have the considerable lead in the Nielsen ratings that it once had over it's sister ABC daytime show, "One Life To Live."

In fact, "OLTL" has overtaken the show in the ratings a couple of times this fall. Why just this week both shows tied with a 2.2 rating.

IMHO, killing off beloved characters Emily and Georgie is only going to worsen the situation. "Days Of Our Lives" killed off 21-year-cast member Drake Hogestyn (John Black) and now finds itself at the bottom of the ratings basement.

Speaking of ratings, here's the latest for the week of Nov. 5-9.

LOL that's what I said back in 2000/2001 when they were shoving newbie Chloe down our throats 24/7 and Helena unfroze her son Stavros Cassadine.

I think the only reason I stuck it out was because Cassadine was played by that ridiculously fine Robert Kelker-Kelly!!!

I would have no idea on a 12-step program for quitting soaps.

Hmmm. I don't really buy his version. Yes, Emmy-winner Livingston (I STILL can't believe she won an Emmy two years ago) decided to leave .... but there was no reason they couldn't have re-cast her.

Afterall, she was a re-cast! She took over in 2003 for Amber Tamblyn who created the role of Emily back in 1995.

My only worry is that without Emily they wont need Nikolas and I love the Cassadines. For the longest time I only watched for Constance Towers(Helena). Please don't lose the remaining Cassadine.

Don't forget Alexis,Mikkos Cassadine's illegitimate daughter,and her daughters including Sam.Nikolas will find someone after a periiod of mourning(I read that Emily's ghost,or conscience,will appear to Nikolas periodically through next spring,like Alan does for Tracy)Incredibly strong,passionate performance by Tyler Christopher as Nikolas in his heartbreaking discovery of and response to Emily's demise.

I believe Carly and Jax found Leticia, I believe Nikolas "woke up" and found Emily dead, which caused Jason to run into the ballroom. Alexis found Ric stabbed in the hallway. Elizabeth found the unamed guy in the bedroom. Logan found Luke suffering from a heart attack. Johnny found Carly.

Luke is revived by Robin.
Johnny saves Carly's life.

11/20 Patrick confides to Mac--he cannot imagine his life without Robin.
Skye breaks the Em news to Edward.

11/21 Carly and Jax are thankful to be alive and with the boys,
Mike and Bobbie join them.
Georgie, Maxie, Spin and Coop spend T-day with Mac.
(you can expect this footage to be revisited)
Scott makes an effort with Logan, and later, Lulu too.

11/22 Repeat
11/23 GH pre-empted



Emily's death leaves Jason devastated.

Prior to each episode, a cast member does a voice over that gives a bit of added information to the storyline of the day.

Other usless facts/questions:

- Robin also has been having flashes of her own death.

- Johnny Z has a cut on his right hand, that looks like he may have gotten while trying strangle someone, and Logan was able to point it out, due to his Army days.

- Coop keeps disappearing, only to turn up at the oddest moments.

- WHERE DID LUCKY GO AND WHY DID HE ALLOW SAM TO WONDER THE ISLAND ALONE?!

Oh yeah ... during General Hospital today, there was a commerical that was promoting a ABC Soap Magazine and it said something like:

"In a shocking twist that will tear General Hospital appear, who will be arrested for Emily's death, Nikolas or Jason?"

It also hinted that there could be a possible return by two of the following cast-members: Laura, Brenda (who has some connection to Coop), Alcazara (spelled wrong sorry), or Anna (Robin's mother).

after she is nearly strangled to death.

Believing A.Z. killed Em, Monica blames Jason.
She disowns him and bans him from the funeral.
Liz defends Jason to the Q's.
Jason remains at the funeral, but in hiding.

A.Z. remains in a coma which makes him quite vulnerable....


Dillon and Ned make an appearance.

Lucky and Sam conspire to gain custody of Jake and Cameron
Scott steps into Ric's position as acting DA., which gives them the home advantage.
Lucky gets involved in Lulu's love life, per his deal with Scott.

One by one, more people become aware that Jason is Jake's birthfather
which could put Liz's sons at great risk.

Sam believes that Nikolas is innocent and is there for him.

Nik believes he is cursed by the Cassadine legacy. He cannot forgive himself.
He wishes desperately for another chance with Em.

Nikolas' symptoms progress to hallucinations and physical impairments.

Em reaches out to Nik from 'beyond the grave".
