Get in loser, we're going shopping

^ So sad about the bookstores...but over the last few years...I know that all the second-hand an out-of print books we have purchased have been on-line...a number of them shipped from England btw. I miss not going into a big old barn of a used bookstore and spending hours discovering things....now it seems that everything has to be so precise and focussed and efficient.

I have noted the Ben Nevis shop in my index of stores to visit if and when we travel.....

Two weeks ago I took my daughter to a local thrift shop, looking for a Halloween costume and walked out with a pair of practically brand new Christian Louboutin shoes. They list for about $1500-$2000. We paid $11.99. No freakin joke!

It's the rent and rates. There's a pre-loved CD shop called Gramex in Lower Marsh round the back of Waterloo Station, not a fashionable address by any means. It moved across the road into the windowless basement of a bookshop. The owner told me that the rent is £500 a WEEK less than before.

The nice people at Ben Nevis pride themselves on their worldwide mail order service. They're Greek.
